NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE/OFFLINE TEST
AIT (Army Institute of Technology) offers admission in B.E programme through JEE Main. AIT, Pune has announced the notification for admissions to 300 seats for B.E course commencing in July 2017. Candidates seeking admission to AIT is required to qualify JEE Main 2017. It is mandatory for candidates to filling up both JEE Main 2017 application form and AIT application form. Only wards of serving/ retired Army Personnel and war widows of the army are eligible to apply for AIT, Pune admissions. Candidates can fill the application form for AIT admission before April 25, 2017.
AIT was established in the year of 1994 exclusively for children of serving and retired Army personnel. AIT functions under the shield of Army Welfare Education Society (AWES). It is ranked amongst the best Engineering colleges in India. AIT is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University and approved by AICTE.
JEE Main 2017 is to be scheduled for April 2, 2017. CBSE conducts JEE Main examination for admissions to B.Tech/ B.Arch/ B.E/ B.Planning in IITs/ NIITs and other state level institutes.

There are total 300 seats available for the admissions (120 for ECE, 60 for Mechanical, 60 for Computer Science and 60 for IT). Army Institute of Technology, Pune offers four-year B.E programmes in the following disciplines as mentioned in the table below:

AIT admissions eligibility criteria includes academic qualification, age limit, category and citizenship. Candidates can check the required eligibility which are given below:
Eligibility for admission to AIT
Candidates must be a ward of serving army personnel/ Ex-army personnel and war widows of the army. Candidates belonging to the following categories of army personnel are eligible for AIT admission. They are required to submit the relevant category certificate along with the application form.

Note: The wards of personnel who have served only Assam Rifles/ BSF/ Indian Navy/ Indian Air Force are not eligible for AIT admissions.
Candidates must have passed 12th standard or equivalent from a recognized board in Physics, English and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. They must have obtained at least 50% of marks in aggregate.
Candidates must fulfil the age criteria requirements as per JEE Main 2017. Candidates must be less than 25 years of age or they must be born on or after October 1, 1992 are eligible to apply for AIT admission. The date of birth recorded in 10th certificate only will be accepted as proof of age.
Candidate should be a citizen of India or a person of India Origin from any foreign country and obtains Indian citizenship before admission to Army Institute of Technology.
The application form for AIT admission is available from March 15, 2017 to April 25, 2017. Candidates have to pay an amount of INR 900 as an application fee. The last date for submission of application with late fee is May 5, 2017. AIT merit list will be displayed after the declaration of JEE Main 2017 final rank list on the official website of AIT Pune. AIT merit list will be prepared on the basis of JEE Main rank. Candidates need to attend the counselling process for admission. They must register themselves and can follow these steps which are given below:
Candidates can also send the application form along with demand draft by post. DD must be drawn in the favor of Director, AIT payable at Pune.
