JEE MAIN 2019 NEWS
NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE/OFFLINE TEST
Nitin appeared for JEE Main in 2014 and scored 134 marks out of 360. He took admission in Punjab University. In this conversation, Nitin tells us that his key to success was not different than any other else which is hard work.
Ans. Panjab University
Ans. I chose the offline mode for the JEE-Main exam. Because I have a problem with online exam. In the online exam, the computer shows the countdown of time. Which makes me hyper and I get nervous. I also did my practice by solving the questions on paper. I have my question-solving speed on pen paper, not on the computer. So I choose the offline mode.

Ans. Yes, I took the coaching class for the preparation of JEE main exam. I took my coaching class from NARAYANA Institute. It helped me in so many ways. It helped me in making strong my basic concept. It also helped me in controlling the pressure of paper during the exam. They took the weekly test. Test paper pattern purely based on JEE main paper pattern. The time limit is less for paper than original exam. So that student has the tendency to complete their exam before the time limit. So that they can revise their exam. It also helps in the 12th class study. They also took some exams which were based on 12th CBSE paper. Which helped me in scoring the good marks in 12th class. They also give me extra time for my doubts.
Ans. My institution helped me a lot in this concern. My institute teacher helped me in making a time table for both JEE main and 12th class. In every topic firstly I completed the theory part from NCERT then from Institute books. Then I practiced the numericals from NCERT then from institution study material. Whenever I had any queries on any topic then I used to ask them from my institute teacher or school teacher.
Ans. My strong area is in math topic and Physics but my chemistry is somewhere is weak. There are different topics which is strong and weak.
Strong Topic is-
Chemistry in every day life
Permutation And Combination
Calculus and Integration
Differentiation and continuity
Only in chemistry-
I have prepared this subject by more practice and by asking more and more on Teachers. I increased my practice time on weak areas.
Ans. I gave many mock tests on JEE main exam pattern. Every week mock tests were conducted by the institute which is purely based on this. Every week we cover some topics which are given by institute. Then they give the test on that topics. I joined the test series of Narayana institute. A test series is conducted by the institute which covers all the area. Then they give the rank. By this, we calculate that where we stand. Because this test series is conducted all over India.
Ans. I make a time table for every topic. Then I strictly followed that timetable. In my time table, I mentioned every topic. Time have to be distributed equally to every topic. I gave difficult topics more time. My first preference in making the time table is Marks allotted to given topic. Then I started studying according to that. I practice the study material given by institute which is very important in basic concept.
Every topic is important but one should focus on important topics like mechanics and Current. In last months we should focus on more scoring topics. There are some books which can help in practicing more questions.
1- Physics for IIT-JEE series by B. M. Sharma
2- Concepts of Physics by H. C. Verma
Read More JEE MAIN 2017 Important Books
Ans. For Chemistry, I chose study material, Pardeep book. But most important is NCERT book from the 12th class point of view and Entrance test as well. If anyone prepares full NCERT book that is sufficient for getting good marks in 12th class. Once I have finished the relevant sections from the NCERT textbook, then I move on to a more "advanced book". This book would differ with subjects and may differ on different topics within the subject. After done with both the relevant topic from both the NCERT and the advanced textbook, I moved ahead and practiced some the topics from books which focus primarily on questions.
1- Concise Inorganic Chemistry by J. D. Lee for Inorganic Chemistry
2- Organic Chemistry by Solomons and Fryhle for Organic Chemistry
Ans. The theory is very easy to learn in mathematics. I would not recommend a specific book for theory.
For practice, I would recommend the following books:
1- The elements of coordinate geometry by S.L. Loney.
2- Plane Trigonometry by S.L. Loney.
3- Higher Algebra by Hall and Knight.
4- Problems in Calculus of One Variable by I.A. Maron.
You may also use also use JEE-oriented books by Indian publishers (Arihant for example) but only for problems.
Mathematics has the most weightage among these three subjects for JEE, and we all know how to be good at Maths - practice. JEE Maths is comparatively more complicated than your class 10 level counterpart. But if you go with time table and practice more and more than you can easily able to solve to problem.
Ans. Like if I studied in 11th class with concentration then I got good marks and if I have the knowledge then I will be in DTU(Delhi Technical University). But I am satisfied with this college also.
Ans. Identify and improve on your weak areas. Get a personalized improvement plan & track your progress. Get a list of probable colleges based on current preparation level. Going to coaching/tutorials or a test series. Self Study through books or correspondence. Revising the syllabus as per study plan. Concise notes of important formulae and concepts. Proper sleep and proper diet. Solving previous year questions. Attempting mock papers as per time frame guidelines of the actual exam. While attempting these mock tests the candidate must adhere to the time limit and should not be distracted by mobiles, TV or any other thing.
