Ans- Yes, I have taken coaching classes. I think coaching is the best option to prepare in a minimum period of time. Coaching helps to improve those portions of the syllabus in which the students are weak. They teach the chapters which are important from the examination point of view.
Ans- Both JEE and the board exam have same syllabus and JEE asks questions mostly from NCERT syllabus. So it is not hard task to prepare for both examination. In JEE the students should focus more on solving the numerical problems.
Ans- Strong Portions in Physics were Mechanics, heat, modern physics, electrostatic, electromagnetics. In case of Mathematics the strong areas were matrix, calculus, trigonometry and algebra. In Chemistry, whole of the physical chemistry & many portions of organic chemistry. Weak portion in chemistry were inorganic chemistry, in Physics they were Optics, electromagnetism and in Mathematics the weak areas were 3D geometry, permutation and combination, complex number.
It is not a difficult task to improve in the weak areas by practicing them for more amount of time.
Ans- I have not joined any famous coaching test series. I took my own tests regularly. Through them I knew my weak portions and tried to improve them. Test series is very important and it helps to know the weak portions and give experience to solve questions in a given period of three hours. I suggest to everyone to join any test series available.
Ans- For the preparation of physics, student should know the subject. Theory & numerical both are important. Mechanics, modern physics, wave physics, electromagnetism- these portions require hard works. Questions from the portion of Mechanics and optics comes in all parts and hence it is very important. Books - H.C Verma is a suitable book. As for question bank the students can refer to Coaching books. NCERT is must for preparation.
Ans- Chemistry is scoring subject. Half of the questions of chemistry comes from physical chemistry and it is easy to solve them. Hence focus on physical chemistry. Organic chemistry is also important and if you understand it, it is going to be easy otherwise not. Inorganic chemistry requires cramming. Books- NCERT is of utmost importance and many direct questions comes from it. For practice the students can refer to M s Chauhan books and TMH books, which helps in the theory. Besides the students can consult question banks.
Ans- Practice is important for mathematics. The more one practices the more one can score. So problem solving is more effective for Mathematics. Books – NCERT is not enough for the mathematics paper. You should solve other books too. The books of mathematics of Arihant publications is suitable for preparation of maths. Solve all the questions from question bank.
Ans- More hard work and language.
Ans- JEE is not simply about remembering the formulas and taking the exam. It demands practice. If anyone starts preparation 4 months before the exam then he should give more time for solving and practicing various questions. He should join test series & make a plan for preparation. It is of utmost necessity to give more focus on that portion which is to come in the examination. Practicing the previous years’ questions is very important.
