NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE/OFFLINE TEST
The JEE MAIN exam kicked off today (April 2, 2017) successfully in offline mode. The online mode of JEE Main exam is scheduled on April 8 and 9. The Answer Key for JEE Main 2017 (April 02) has been already released by the leading coaching institutes. The official answer keys will be released by CBSE on April 18. However, in the meanwhile various coaching institutes like Akash, resonance, Allen key, FITJEE, Vidyamandir etc. have already published JEE Main 2017 Answer Key. The answer keys by these coaching institutes is already and updated at collegedunia.com. Candidates can opt for these answer keys as it will help them calculate their JEE Main 2017 scores well before the announcement of JEE Main result 2017.
The JEE Main 2017 consist of two papers. Paper one is for those who are seeking admissions in B.E/B.Tech courses of various IITs, NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and other participating institutes. While Paper two is for those candidates who are seeking admission in B.Arch/B.Plan courses. Candidates can opt for either of the one exam or for both of them.
The questions asked in both the exams are of objective nature. Top 220,000 candidates after the announcement of JEE Main results would proceed for the JEE Advance. Here the competition would be to grab a seat in the prestigious IITs.
The official answer key for Physics and all other sections (Mathematics and Chemistry) will be published at jeemain.nic.in on April 18. We will bring you the detailed solution and official answer key once CBSE releases them.
Meanwhile, candidates can use the unofficial JEE Main 2017 Answer Keys to match their responses to the questions asked in JEE Main in the April 02 exam. This would help the candidates in estimating the effective score that they would obtain after adjusting the negative marks for the wrong answers. This estimated score would help the candidates in analyzing their chances of getting admission into various IITs, NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and other institutes that are offering admission on the basis of JEE Main 2017 performance.
CBSE will publish the official answer key along with the copy of OMR sheet and online response marked by the online candidates by April 18, 2017. Candidates can challenge the official answer key in case there is any discrepancy. The window for challenging the answer key would open from April 18, 2017, that is the date of publication of official key and will remain open untill April 22, 2017. Candidates who are opting for the copy of OMR sheet and those who will challenge the official answer key would have to pay the respective for the same. The fee for obtaining the copy of OMR sheet is INR 500 whereas for challenging the answer the fee is INR 1000 per question (refundable in case your challenge is accepted and is confirmed to be true else no refund will be initiated).
If candidates think that there is any discrepancy in the answer key then they can register their response by entering the following details at the time of answer challenging process (April 18 to April 22).
Candidates are required to enter the claim answer in the column provided for the same. In order to challenge the answer key the candidates would be required to make an application for the same. Candidates should follow the following steps to register their challenge.
