JEE Main 2020 Preparation Tips

Is Coaching necessary to crack JEE Main 2020?

It completely depends on the caliber of the students whether they should join Coaching centers or go for self-study. Coaching center brings a regularity in your preparations and you are guided and supervised as well. Your performances in class tests are analyzed by tutors. However, your travelling time and energy is saved if you opt for self-study, moreover same help can be taken from your school teachers. Yes, you will need to do an extra bit of hardwork and focus more in school.

  • Start from Class 11 itself: Just when you opt for science stream in class 11th and you know that you will have to take JEE Main, you should start preparation from then only. Many students think that they will need to drop a year for preparations but this is not true in real. If you start preparing early 2 years’ time is more than sufficient to clear the exam without dropping year.
  • Keep Your Concepts Clear: It is very important for students to keep their concepts clear, as the questions can be set in any manner. When the concepts are clear it won’t be difficult to answer even the twisted questions.
  • Practice Exam Oriented Questions: Students should keep in mind their goal of clearing the exam. After learning the concepts, exam oriented questions should be practiced as the ultimate goal is to crack the exam.
  • Get Good Study Material: Each book uses different methodology of explaining things. Some are in easy language while some uses technical jargons. Candidates should get books that are best suited to them and give right direction to their preparations.
  • Practice Sample Papers: Sample papers are the blueprints of actual paper which familiarize students with the exam pattern, difficulty level, important topics that have been repeating over the years, marking scheme and time limitation. Hence, Sample Papers or Previous Year Question Papers must be practiced by students.
