What did you choose - Offline or Online mode for taking up the exam?

I gave the exam Offline. Giving the exam Online wasn't an option in 2003.

Did you take Coaching Classes? If yes, how did they help in your story?

Yes, I did take private tuitions for clearing few concepts I had doubt in. I also joined a center for practicing the practice papers and topic wise revision.

How did you manage to prepare for JEE Main along with your Class 12th exam?

I appeared for JEE Main after completing my 12th exam. In my case, I took a one year gap and prepared for the exam exclusively. I want to mention here that there is no problem in taking a year gap for preparation. It's always good to go to a good college instead of getting into some random college in the first year.

What were your Strong and Weak areas? How did you prepare and, what special efforts did you put for improving them?

I was always good at maths, so I considered the subject as my strength. I worked hard for chemistry because it was always my weak point. I studied with NCERT for that.

What mock papers did you take?

I attended the mock test papers of my coaching institute. The regular test was conducted by coaching institute itself. Lastly, I took mock test of vibrant Academy only at the end moment

Write some of the Preparation tips for someone who is starting 4 months before the exam?

  2. Concentrate on the basics, and the main focus should be NCERT.
  3. Prioritize your subject wise and spend time according to that.

Mention the Strategy and Books Followed for Chemistry

  1. NCERT is the Bible for chemistry in engineering exams. You can score high marks in chemistry just by reading NCERT. Almost all question comes directly from NCERT so studying NCERT more than 2-3 times is always advisable rather than going for different books.
  2. Practice numerical for chemistry as much as possible.
  3. Memorizing formulae is important.
  4. Organic chemistry can fetch you marks very easily.

Overall I must say that chemistry is the easiest way to get marks in her.

Mathematics: Mention the Strategy and Books Followed for this section.

  1. Start with RD Sharma for the basics, and slowly go to higher level. The examples given in RD Sharma are very good.
  2. If you are taking coaching, then the study material they will provide will be enough.
  3. Running after books and online material is a bad idea.
  4. You will get many working sheets which will contains many solved and practice questions. If you are able to attend all those problems it will be enough for you but the fact is it is very difficult to solve that many problems.
  5. Practice is the best way you can improve your mathematics skills.
  6. Also, Time is very important.
  7. When you become comfortable with a particular chapter try to solve it didn't the way and shortcut tricks.
  8. Last, the most important trick is solving last ten year questions. It will give you confidence.

What are the things you would like to go back in time and change to get into a better college?

I think I got the best college what I deserved. If getting a chance, I will not go for engineering but for some other career option.
