NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE/OFFLINE TEST
Aditya Rajak cleared JEE Main in the year 2014 and managed to secure a seat in IIT Bombay by scoring 335/360. His habits and die hard practice aided him to achieve this feat. He says hard work and motivation are the factors for his success.
In the interview with him, he shares his preparation strategy for aspirants of JEE Main 2017. He has also given his suggestions on why to opt for offline mode in JEE Main
Q 1. What did you choose - Offline or Online mode for taking up the exam?
I opted offline mode of answering JEE Main. In my opinion, students should choose offline method because it is easy to solve numerical on the basis of hints provided.
Q 2. Did you qualify for JEE - Advanced?
Yes, I qualified JEE Advanced.
Q 3. Did you take Coaching Classes? If yes, how did they help in your story?
No, I didn't take any coaching class. I would like to recommend students who are preparing themselves for JEE, it is not easy exam as you all know only 10k of the candidates get admission in reputed institutes. The coaching Institute tells about the quick analysis of questions with tricks to solve question easily.
Q 4. How did you manage JEE Main Preparation along with your Class 12th exam?
Guys, I started the exam preparations from class 11th onwards. Start preparation early and never feel you’re late. Sometimes it’s difficult to manage with class 12th boards but it doesn't affect that much of studies because the syllabus of both are almost same.
Q 5. What were your Strong and Weak areas? How did you prepare and what special efforts did you put for improving them?
I was weak in Calculus part. It always been hard for me. But I was good in Physics and Chemistry. My regular practice polished everything in Mathematics.
Q 6. What mock papers did you take?
I had practiced from online test series and it really helped me a lot.

I think for good preparation, you need H C Verma Concept of Physics. It has a great number of questions with each chapter to sharpen your skills. It will be preferable to use numerical solution available in market.
Q 9. Chemistry: Mention the Strategy and Books Followed for this section.
Pradeep Chemistry book is the one I prefer as compared to others and it covers all the basic concepts. I didn’t join any coaching class but I recommend you to join a good class.
Q 10. Mathematics: Mention the Strategy and Books Followed for this section.
Firstly, I had thorough preparation from my textbook and then I went for youtube videos and RD Sharma for deep studies.
Q 11. What are the things you would like to go back in time and change to get into a better college?
I felt myself addicted to phone much and it distracted me but there is no regret as I got a great institute.
