XAT Admission Procedure at Xavier Institute of Management, Jabalpur

Xavier Institute of Management is the one of the renowned management school in Central India known for its 20 years of brilliance in imparting knowledge in the field of sustainability and management. XIM, Jabalpur offers full time residential courses such as PGDM in Human Resource, Marketing and Finance and PGDM-RM (Rural Management).

The total number of seats available varies from course to course. The admission procedure of XAT at Xavier Institute of Management, Jabalpur involves the following factors:

  1. Eligibility

Candidates who wish to apply for PGDM and PGDM-RM must have qualified with a three-year's bachelor degree in any stream as recognized by the alliance of the Indian Universities. Aspirants who belong to the general category must obtain at least 50% marks in the aggregate in their degree course level whereas there will be a relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST candidates.

  1. Clearing of XAT exam

Xavier Institute of Management is the related member of XAT, MAT and ATMA meant for the National Level Entrance. Candidates having qualified CAT, CMET or MPMET of the concerned year can also apply.

  1. Submission of Application Form

The application form must be downloaded from the university website. Candidates should fill the application form and submit it to the university addressing to the dean. While submission the application form must include the complete payment of the application fee of Rs. 1000/- in addition to all the relevant documents as asked for.

The steps to apply are given below:

  1. Register using Name, E-mail, Mobile Number, Password and Captcha.
  2. Choose the desired course.
  3. Fill the Application Form.
  4. Verify the details filled in Application Form.
  5. Payment can be done using Debit Card/Credit Card/Net-Banking.
  6. Final Submission of the form and note down the application form.

The payment must be done in form of Demand Draft drawn in favor of XIDAS payable at Jabalpur. Besides, the application fee can be paid online from the university website. The following documents must be submitted along with the application form:

  • Certificate and Mark-sheet of 10th standard
  • Certificate and Mark-sheet of 12th standard
  • Certificate and Mark-sheet of Graduation level (all years)
  • Migration Certificate
  • Domicile Certificate
  • XAT entrance score
  • Candidate’s and his/her guardian’s photo
  • Achievement or co-curricular activities certificate
  • Caste Certificate (If any)
  • Provisional Certificate (optional)
  1. Internal Test

Candidates who have qualified XAT or equivalent examination will be short-listed and are eligible for Group Discussions, Personal Interviews along with English Language Tests prior to the final admission. The overall performance of candidate in all these rounds will be noted while determining the ability of candidate.

  1. Relaxation

SC, ST or Christian minority candidates with significant professional experience will be given preference. Moreover, female candidates irrespective of all categories will be awarded special merit points in the admission.

  1. Admission Fee and Ultimate Admission Procedure

Candidates shortlisted for the final admission procedure have to pay a sum of Rs. 10,000/- within 10 days of the specified time given by the authority. The admission fee is non-refundable. In addition to the provisional admission fee, the full fee of all the trimester must be paid. Candidates who fail to pay the above fees are not liable for admission.

XAT Cut Off

XAT cut off will be declared once the written test is over. The cut off will be determined on the overall performance of an aspirant in XAT. The cutoff will be decided as per the course rather than the category. The expected cutoff corresponding to the programs are displayed below:
