SICSR Pune Admission and SNAP Cut off

    SICSR, elaborated as Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research, is a technology and computer education institute situated in Pune, Maharashtra. The institute is a member of the group of institutes established under Symbiosis International University.

    • Like other Symbiosis Institutes, SICSR Pune also offers admissions on the basis of SNAP Exam
    • SNAP Selection process begins from successful form filling till Symbiosis releases its merit list.

    • Candidates are offered admission on the basis of their SNAP scores and performance in subsequent rounds.

    SICSR Pune offers a wide range of both Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses in the field of Computer Science, Information Technology and Management. Admission in Under Graduate courses is granted on the basis of SET test scores and admission in Post Graduate Programs is provided on the basis of SNAP scores.

    SICSR Eligibility Criteria

    For admission in its Post Graduate courses, SICSR accepts only SNAP scores. Candidates need to obtain a valid score and clear the SNAP cut off for the institute, in order to get admission in SICSR. The institute offers 3 Post Graduate Programs, which are MBA in Information Technology, MSC in System Security and MSC in Computer Applications.

    Apart from clearing SNAP cutoff, candidates needs to fulfill following requirements, to be eligible for admission at SICSR

    Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in relevant principle, from a recognized university or institute. Candidates must have secured a minimum percentage of 50% in such graduation, if candidate belongs to General Category. There is relaxation of 5% for SC/ST candidates.

    SICSR Seat Intake

    As mentioned earlier, SICSR offers admission to 3 Post Graduate programs on the basis of SNAP scores. Let us take a look at the seat intake scenario of these 3 programs as SICSR Pune:-

    MBA in Information Technology90

    These seats are subject to the reservation rules of Symbiosis International University. According to these rules, within the specified intake

    • 15% seats are reserved for students belonging to Scheduled Castes
    • 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes
    • 3% seats are reserved for Differently Abled candidates.

    There is some reservation which is over and above this specified intake. This includes 2 seats being reserved for Kashmiri Migrants and 15% of the seats for International Students.

    SICSR Pune SNAP Cutoff

    To get admission in any of the courses at SICSR Pune, candidates have to secure a minimum score in SNAP, which is called the SNAP CutOff for SICSR. Only those candidates are called for further processes who score more than or equal to the SNAP cutoff for the institute.

    However, SNAP cutoff for SICSR is not a fixed score, rather it keeps on changing from year to year. This is because a number of factors are involved in the determination of SNAP cutoff for SICSR.

    These factors are:

    • Change in admission policies of SICSR
    • Change in number of seats at SICSR
    • Difficulty level of SNAP in that year
    • Number of candidates appearing in SNAP
    • Number of candidates who apply for SICSR

    Keeping all these factors in consideration, we have tried to provide you the most realistic cut offs for SICSR, which are as follows:-

    SICSR Pune Admission Procedure

    Admission procedure of SICSR Pune is much like the admission procedure of other Symbiosis Institutes. Even the admission procedure for all the three Post Graduate Programs is exactly the same. All the candidates looking to get admission have to appear in SNAP and subsequent rounds.

    Here is a look at the complete procedure of admission at SICSR Pune, right from application to final merit list:-

    Step 1 – Application for SNAP and SICSR

    Candidates who want to take admission in any of the post graduate courses offered by SICSR have to register themselves for SNAP.

    • Visit the official website for SNAP,
    • Filling all the required details.
    • Candidates must not forget to select SICSR as their desired institute, while filling the SNAP form and will also need to select their desired program amongst the three.

    Candidates will need to pay an additional fee of INR 1000, for selecting SICSR as their desired college.

    Step 2- Appear for SNAP and clear the cutoff

    Candidates will need to score higher or equal to the cutoff. Candidates may refer to the expected cutoff mentioned earlier and attempt the exam as per their requirement. It is always better to have score higher than the cutoff, therefore, candidates should prepare according to the score they are targeting, and must make sure that they clear the cutoff.

    Step 3- Attend GD, PI, and WAT Rounds

    Candidates who are able to clear the SNAP cutoff for SICSR, according to their respective categories are then called for further processes. Candidates will be required to take part in Group Discussion, Personal Interview and Written Ability Test. Participating in these events is necessary and no candidates will be given admission if he/she does not appear in these rounds, no matter how high his/her SNAP score is. Candidates will also be required to verify their necessary documents and certificated, so they must not forget to carry them all.

    Step 4- Final Merit List

    After all these things, the last step is the publication of SNAP Result 2018 and SNAP Merit List 2018. The admission authorities calculate the composite score of all the candidates and publish merit list based on these scores. The final score of candidate is calculated by taking in account all the factors –

    • SNAP score with 50% weightage
    • Personal InterviewScore with 30% weightage
    • Group DiscussionScore with 10% weightage
    • Written Ability Score with 10% weightage.

    Candidates whose name appears in the list may confirm their admission by paying the first installment of fee. Merit lists for the upcoming academic session will be published in the second week of January 2020.

    SICSR Fee Structure

    Fee structure for all the courses is different. However, one thing in common is that fee of any program is to be paid in 4 installments, where the first installment is due at the time of admission itself.
