    Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management popularly known as SITM is business school located in Pune. This institute falls in the league of institutes under Symbiosis International University and offers admission through SNAP. The institute is renowned for its course in Telecom Management, a specialization rarely taught in India. SNAP 2019 Result was released on January 10, 2020, as scheduled by the official committee. he GE-PIWAT registration has been officiated on the SITM website, candidates can now login and access their slot booking and call letter details. SITM selection process will begin on February 7 and end on February 16, 2020.

    Apart from appearing in SNAP and attaining qualifying score, above or equal to SNAP cutoff, there are some other criteria that a candidate needs to fulfil, in order to be eligible for admission to SITM Pune.

    Eligibility Criteria for MBA in Telecom Management

    Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institute or university. General Category candidates need to obtain a minimum 50% marks in his/her graduation. The institute offers 5% relaxation to SC or ST candidates.

    Candidates who have done their graduation from any foreign university, will need to verify their degree from Association of Indian Universities (AIU). 

    Eligibility Criteria for Executive MBA in Telecom Management

    Candidates who aspire for Executive MBA in Telecom Management from SITM Pune, must possess a minimum of 3 years of full time work experience, in addition to the criteria for normal MBA. Executive MBA is a 30-Month course offered by SITM Pune for executives with relevant work experience. 

    SITM Pune Seat Intake

    MBA in Telecom Management at SITM Pune is further divided into three specializations for candidates to choose any one of those three. The specializations are

    • Marketing and Finance

    Total number of seats available at SITM Pune for its regular MBA is 150.

    In conjunction with the government directives regarding disability guidelines, SIU has made a provision of reserving 3% seats for Differently Abled Category (DAC) students in all the institutes of SIU.

    Note: Candidates will have to procure an ‘Authentication Certificate’ from the Symbiosis Centre of Health Care (SCHC) in the first month of their programme. SCHC will then check the authenticity of all of the documents provided by the candidate and verify the magnitude of the disability.

    SITM Pune has a defined admission procedure for its MBA in Telecom Management. SNAP Selection Process starts right from filling SNAP application form, and ends after candidate has performed well in GE/WAT/PI round. Let us take a look at the complete admission procedure of SITM Pune:-

    Applying for SNAP and SITM

    Candidates will first need to register for SNAP on the website While filling the form, candidate will have to simultaneously apply for SITM Pune by selecting the institute and paying an additional fee of INR 1000. 

    Appearing in SNAP and obtaining a valid score

    Post the successful registration, Candidates have to appear for the SNAP test. Candidate will need to attain the minimum cut off required.

    Candidates should set their target score higher than SNAP Cut off mentioned.

    Shortlisting and GE-PIWAT round

    Candidates who have successfully cleared the SNAP cutoff for SITM Pune will be shortlisted for further process. The next step involves the GE and PIWAT round, that is Group Discussion, Personal Interview and Written Ability Test. Candidates will have to perform the tasks as assigned to them by the interviewees’.

    Required Documents for GE-PIWAT: 

    Candidates have to provide an original copy of the following certificates along with 3 self attested copies during the selection process rounds. 

    • Original SNAP Test Admit Card 
    • GEPIWAT Admit Card 
    • Certificate of passing the qualifying examination
    • Statement of marks at the qualifying examination 
    • Certificate of having appeared in the qualifying examination (only required in the case of candidates applying for provisional admission before the results of the qualifying examination have been declared. 
    • Senior Secondary School Certificate and Higher Secondary Certificate 
    • Migration Certificate (Required from all students who have graduated from any university/board other than the Symbiosis International University. Only the Original Certificate issued by the Board or University will be accepted. 

    NOTE: It is compulsory for candidates to appear in this round. No candidate will be given admission to SITM Pune if he/she stays absent from this round.

    Final List and Admission Letters

    After conducting the GE-PIWAT round, SITM Admission cell prepares the final list of candidates, in which they are assigned scores on the basis of their SNAP Score, Group Activity Performance, Performance in Written Ability test and Performance in the Personal Interview. Candidates, who thus emerge as the top 150 candidates according to the admission rules, are offered admission. Waiting lists are also released in case the seats are not filled. Candidates who receive admission letters have to confirm their admission by paying the first installment of fees. While preparing the final score of candidates, following scheme of weightage to different activities is followed:-

    Fee of MBA at SITM Pune is much like the major MBA colleges of the country for 2 year program. There has been a slight hike in the fee after the 2018-2020 batch. The fee is to be paid in 4 installments where the first installment is to be paid at the time of admission. Candidates can also avail scholarships at SITM Pune, which is provided to candidates as per the rules laid down by Symbiosis International University.  The hostel and mess fee for next year will be communicated to the students at at the commencement of next year.
