    SNAP Mock Test 2018 is now available for practice. With SNAP just around the corner, candidates must be burning the candle from both ends.

    SNAP 2017

    SIU, the conducting body has announced only one major change in SNAP 2017 exam pattern which is that it will be conducted in the online mode this year. SNAP is an objective test which will help assess the aptitude of students for the MBA programs offered by the affiliated business schools. SNAP 2017 is scheduled to be held on December 17.

    • The question paper will have 4 sections namely, General English; Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency; General Awareness and Analytical & Logical Reasoning.
    • A total of 150 MCQ Type questions will be asked which have to be solved within a time limit of 120 minutes.
    • Every correct answer will be awarded +1 mark while - 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
    • The difficulty level of SNAP generally has been moderate and is expected to be the same this year.
    • While preparing for the exam, students are advised to practice questions based on current events pertaining to politics, economy & finance and social issues so as to do well in the General Awareness section.

    SNAP 2016

    SNAP 2016 was conducted on December 18, 2016 across 32 cities in India. The conducting body had introduced several changes in the SNAP exam pattern and marking scheme this year. The paper was slightly easier as compared to last year but lengthy.

    • The reasoning section was on the tougher side while general awareness was quite easy. Majority of questions that were asked were based on current affairs that a well-informed student would be aware of.
    • In General English section, there were 2 RCs based on Euro crisis and hydrothermal liquefaction. The other questions were based on grammar, vocabulary, jumbled paragraphs and verbal reasoning. The difficulty level was fairly easy. Read SNAP 2016 Analysis
    • The QA section had a moderate to high difficulty level with most questions on Arithmetic followed by Algebra and Geometry. Around 10 mathematics based questions were asked in this section while other questions were based on puzzles, input-output and series.

    SNAP 2015

    SNAP 2015 was conducted December 20, 2017 across various centers in India. The difficulty level was more or less similar to that of SNAP 2014.

    • As compared to 2014, the General English, Reasoning and General Awareness sections were more on the difficult side while QA was relatively easy.
    • In General English, there was 1 RC which was quite time consuming but the questions based on it were easy. There were about 18 questions based entirely on vocabulary and 12 questions on grammar. Overall difficulty level was moderate.
    • The QA section was dominated by questions on Arithmetic followed by Modern Mathematics. The emphasis on geometry was reduced and that on numbers was increased. There was 1 DI set with 4 questions based on a table.
    • The reasoning section took students by surprise. Most questions were based on rectangular arrangement, coding-decoding and grouping & conditionalities. Each question in this section carried 2 marks.
    • The general awareness section had 29 questions based on general knowledge and 11 on current affairs. Most questions were based on world affairs while 18 were on national issues. The difficulty level was moderate to high for this section.
