Students seeking to enroll with one of the various management programs at the Symbiosis International University (SIU) affiliated B-schools have to clear the SNAP Test (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test). Admission at these institutes is based on applicants’ overall academic records and SNAP Test Score.

While institutes shortlists candidates suitable for admission to their programs, likewise, candidates too select institutes based on several criteria related to institutes’ performance in terms of teaching, infrastructure, corporate interaction and most importantly placements.

The shortlisting criteria for admission at the various Symbiosis Institutes is decided by the SIU and these criteria are listed thus:

  • Applicants shortlisted for the selection process, based on their overall SNAP score.
  • Applicant Category-wise cut off published on the respective institute’s website
  • The final merit list is based on the following weighted Parameters:

The above shortlisting criteria is applicable for admission at all the Symbiosis Management Institutes accepting SNAP score. Even though the basis of shortlisting of candidates remains the same, however, each of these institutes have their different set of cut-off scores.

Selected applicants take the final decision for admission at a particular institute based on the required tuition fee for the program and the average placement record of the target institute. Of the institutes accepting SNAP scores, the top three institutes with the highest average placement records are SIBM-Pune, SCMHRD-Pune, and SIBM-Bengaluru. Here we present a tabulation of all the SNAP cut-off scores, tuition fees and average placement record pertaining to the Symbiosis Institutes accepting SNAP scores so that future SNAP applicants can make an informed choice.

  • Fee is for the last academic year as announced by the respective institute. A 5-10% variation in fee can be estimated for the current academic year.
  • Average Placement figures are from the academic year 2015-17 as announced by the respective institute.
  • Cut-off scores are presented to indicate what can be expected. Applicants are suggested to not limit their efforts to these projected scores.

In order to be considered to be shortlisted for admission at the above listed Symbiosis Institutes, SNAP applicants are required to apply separately to each of the target institutes. Candidates, after the SNAP results are declared, if shortlisted, can attend selection process of GE-PI-WAT organized by each of these institutes separately.

It is worthwhile to mention here the SNAP Test pattern as well as sectional weightage for the benefit of applicants.

Please note that sectional cut-offs are not considered for admission through SNAP, instead only overall cut-off percentile is accepted.
