    SNAP is tentatively scheduled for December 16, the official notification is expected to be out any day now. Once the registration window opens, aspirants will be able to apply online for the test through the official website till approximately the end of November 2018.

    SNAP or Symbiosis National Aptitude Test is a national level entrance test conducted by Symbiosis International University (SIU). It offers admissions to the various postgraduate programs in management at its associated institutes. Symbiosis Institute of Business Management-Pune, Symbiosis Institute of Business Management-Hyderabad, Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development-Pune, and Symbiosis Institute of Business Management-Bengaluru are among the 15 institutes under SIU that accept SNAP score for admissions.

    While registering for SNAP 2018, applicants are required to scan and upload their recent passport size photograph along with the application form. The photograph, and other documents as applicable for different category of candidates must be uploaded as per the guidelines defined by the SIU.

    The general guidelines that must be followed for the photograph to be submitted with SNAP application are:

    • The photograph should be a passport-size, colored, professionally clicked one, and not older than 3 months.
    • Ensure that there's no “red-eye" on the photograph.
    • Bespectacled candidates need to ensure that there are no reflections on their glasses and their eyes are clearly visible in the photograph.
    • Photographs with accessories such as hats, caps and dark glasses are not acceptable; however, religious headgear that does not cover the face is allowed.

    Important Points for NRI Candidates

    It is mandatory for an NRI candidate who has graduated from a recognized Indian University to appear for the SNAP test. However, such candidates have the option of applying as an Indian candidate or under the NRI category. In the latter case, the NRI candidate will have to additionally register and apply through the Symbiosis Center for International Education.

    However, OCI/PIO/NRI/Foreign candidates who have completed their graduation from a foreign university are exempted from appearing for 0SNAP test and have to apply through Symbiosis Center for International Education

    Documents that candidates exempt from appearing in SNAP test are required to submit are:

    • Final Mark sheet of class 12th or equivalent
    • Semester/year wise Mark sheets of Bachelor Degree (Both frontal and rear side of the mark sheet needs to be uploaded. In case the mark sheets are in any other language other than English, then a translated version also needs to be uploaded)
    • In case of Graduation Final year appearing candidate, the final mark sheet should be uploaded as soon as it is available with the candidate.
    • Scanned images of Valid Passport - Photo Page, Validity Page, Visa Page, Arrival Stamp Page
    • Statement of Purpose (within 1000 words)
    • 2 Letters of Recommendations in original (from Teacher as well as Head of the Institute and written on the Institute letterhead and stamped with the official seal of the Institute)
    • IELTS Score Card/Proof of IELTS Registration.
    • Application Fee Payment Proof.

    SNAP Application Fee

    Although the official notification for SNAP 2018 is not out yet, the application fee for the same can be earmarked at last year’s figure, i.e. INR 1750 + GST. Additional transactional charges as charged by the Transaction gateway or the bank has to be borne by the candidate. Please note that the application fee can be paid in both online and offline modes.

    Online Mode:

    Online payment can be made using either net banking or Credit/Debit Cards. Candidates can choose between three payment gateways:

    • BillDesk,
    • Axis Bank Gateway, and
    • Indian Bank Gateway.

    Offline Mode:

    Offline payment can be made by drawing a demand draft of the requisite amount from any nationalized bank in favor of Symbiosis Test Secretariat, payable at Pune. In case of offline payment, mark the appropriate mode of payment in SNAP 2018 Application Form before hitting submit. Take a print of the payment advice form, sign and send it along with the DD to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat, Symbiosis International University, Gram: Lavale, Tal: Mulshi, District: Pune – 412115.

    Note: Candidates will receive a confirmation email on their registered email once the Symbiosis Test Secretariat authenticates the payment details.

    After completing the application fee payment process for SNAP 2018, candidates are required to proceed to select the programs of particular institutes under SIU they wish to apply for. Separate non-refundable payment of INR 1000 + GST per program per institute has to be paid by the applicants, the payment process remaining the same as before.
