IBSAT 2018 Exam Analysis

IBSAT 2018 has been successfully conducted on December 22 and 23, 2019 through computer-based mode. The overall difficulty level of paper was moderate. IBSAT had 140 questions to be completed in 2 hours, distributed across 4 sections. There was no sectional cut-off and no sectional time limit in this exam. Each question carried 1 mark.

IBSAT 2018 Cut off will be released after the declaration of IBSAT result. The cut off is expected to remain same as previous year.  Students obtain the minimum required marks are called for IBSAT 2018 Selection Process

IBSAT 2018 Paper Analysis Highlights

  • IBSAT 2018 Result will be declared in the 1st week of January 2019
  • The paper had 4 sections namely- Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude and Data Adequacy & Data Interpretation
  • The exam remained easy on expected pattern
  • There was no Surprise Element in IBSAT 2018
  • According to the expert’s analysis, the overall difficulty level of paper was moderate to easy

IBSAT 2018 Section wise Analysis

Candidates had to attempt total 140 questions from four different sections i.e. Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude and Data Adequacy & Data Interpretation.

Except for verbal ability, each section carried 30 questions. In verbal ability section, students had to attempt 50 questions. There was no sectional time limit for any section.

Verbal Ability

Verbal ability section had easy questions. Vocabulary questions were slightly tricky but the grammar part was easier.

Reading Comprehension

There were 2 passages, on an average between 500- 600 words. While some questions were direct and factual, some took time to answer.

Quantitative Ability

The Quantitative Ability section had good mixture of problems including arithmetic, geometry and analytical geometry. The questions were framed on speed, distance and time, ratio proportion, work problems, heights, progressions, probability, percentages, etc.

Data Adequacy and Data Interpretation

The Data Interpretation section was focused strongly on data adequacy and logical thinking. The paper had questions on pi graphs, line graphs etc. Few other questions were on percentage change, ratio between two values, etc.

IBSAT 2018 Difficulty Level of Paper

On a whole, the difficulty level of paper was moderate. There was all type of questions in the exam and difficulty level was equally divided. Applicants could attempt 32 to 35 questions in the duration of 25 minutes. A good attempt of questions ware 32 to 35 in 25 to 30 minutes.

IBSAT 2018 Cut off

IBSAT Cut off 2018 is expected to release in the second week of January 2018. Cut off is the minimum marks candidates need to score to get admission in their desired Institute.

It will be released after the declaration of IBSAT 2018 Result. Every Institute will release its separate cut off list on its official website. Candidates score equal or more than cut off marks are considered for admission process.
