IIT Mumbai B.Tech Admission and JEE Advanced Cutoff

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, generally known as IITB, is among the most prestigious institutes of Asia and is ranked 400 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. It offers admission to candidates on the basis of JEE Advanced merit list and provides a wide range of disciplines in B.Tech to the candidates to make their choice from. The students are required to qualify JEE Mains and then appear for JEE Advanced, on qualifying it candidates are considered eligible to get admission in the IITs/ NITs/IIITs.

The application form for JEE Advanced 2017 will be made available on the official website i.e. from April 28, 2017 to May 02, 2017. Candidates must fill and submit the form before the closing date. It is essential for the appearing candidates to know the cutoff of JEE advanced to get the idea about the intensity of the competition and get prepare according to that. IIT Mumbai Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech

To get admission in B.Tech course the minimum qualification for a candidate to hold is 10+2. It is mandatory for all the candidates to fulfill the eligibility criteria required to appear in JEE Advanced 2017. Below we have pen-downed all the required eligibility criteria.

  • The candidates who are willing to appear in JEE must have qualified 10+2 or appearing with PCM/PCMB.
  • It is necessary for the General/OBC candidates to secure 75% marks in the 12th examination and for SC/ST/PWD candidates to secure 65% marks.
  • The aspirants have to crack JEE Mains and hold a position among top 2, 20,000 candidates in order to appear in JEE Advanced 2017.
  • The students must keep this in mind that they will get only 2 attempts to qualify JEE.

IIT Mumbai Application Process

The postulants can apply for JEE Mains/Advanced 2017 on the official website of JEE by following the steps mentioned below.

  1. Visit the official website of JEE Advanced i.e.
  2. Make an account, then register yourself and fill the application form.
  3. Candidates can start applying for JEE Advanced from April 28, 2017 to May 02, 2017.
  4. A login detail (id/password) will be provided to the candidate on successful registration.
  5. After filling the form students are required to make the payment either through online-offline mode i.e. using Net Banking/Credit Card/ Debit Card/ or by submitting Demand Draft (DD) along with the printout of the application form.
  6. Candidates are advised to note down the login detail till they get the admission.
