JEE Advanced Result 2019

JEE Advanced Result 2019 will be declared in June, 2019. Candidates can check their result by logging onto the result portal using their application number and date of birth which includes category-wise All India Rank (AIR) of the candidates. Candidates can check all important information related to JEE Advanced 2019 Result. JEE Advanced 2019 is scheduled for May, 2019.It is a national level entrance exam managed by 7 IITs on rotational basis for admission to 23 IITs. 

JEE Advanced answer key can be downloaded from the official website in the first week of June, 2019. JEE Advanced counselling and seat allotment process is scheduled for June, 2019. JoSAA organizes combined counselling for JEE Main and JEE advanced rank holders.

How to check JEE Advanced Result 2019?

JEE Advanced 2019 will be conducted in May 2019. As mentioned earlier, JEE Advanced answer key will release in June, 2019.

JEE Advanced 2019 result can be checked on JEE Advanced official website. Steps to check JEE Advanced 2019 result are as follows:

  • Visit the official JEE Advanced website i.e.
  • Click on ‘JEE Advanced results 2019’
  • Provide your roll no., date of birth & then click the submit button
  • Candidates rank will be displayed along with their score in JEE Advanced
  • Candidates must download & take a printout of their JEE Advanced result

Candidates will also be notified about JEE Advanced result 2019 on their registered mobile numbers. However, individual rank cards will not be sent to the candidates. In order to download individual rank cards, the candidates will have to login to their accounts.

The scorecard of JEE Advanced 2019 will consist of the following information related to the individual candidates:

  • Name of the candidate
  • Parent’s/Guardian’s Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • JEE Advanced 2019 Roll Number
  • JEE Advanced 2019 Registration Number
  • Candidate’s Photograph
  • Candidate’s Signature
  • Candidate’s Category
  • Registered Email ID
  • Mobile Number
  • Nationality
  • Candidate’s Status: Whether Documents are Valid
  • JEE Advanced 2019 Qualifying Status: Qualified or Not
  • Rank Obtained by the Candidate in Common Rank List
  • Category Rank (if any)

Normalization of Scores

Candidates will be required to qualify both Paper I and Paper II of JEE Advanced 2019 to be eligible for the merit list. Scores secured in both papers of JEE Advanced will be taken for rank calculation by the concerned authorities. Following is the formula to calculate JEE Advanced score:

Marks obtained in Physics = Physics marks obtained in Paper I + Physics marks obtained in Paper II.

Similarly, the marks for Mathematics and Chemistry are calculated. While the aggregate marks for JEE Advanced 2019 will be calculated using the following formula:

Aggregate marks obtained in JEE Advanced = Aggregate Marks in Physics + Aggregate Marks in Chemistry + Aggregate Marks in Mathematics.

JEE Advanced 2019 Answer Key

The official JEE Advanced 2019 answer key will be released at the end of May, 2019 at JEE Advanced official website. Candidates need to follow these steps to download answer key:

  • Visit official website of JEE Advanced
  • Click on JEE Advanced 2019 Answer Key
  • Download the answer key according to your paper code.

Candidates can also challenge JEE Advanced answer key. The last date to submit challenges or raise comments on the official answer key is June 06, 2019. After that, no requests shall be entertained.

JEE Advanced 2019 Merit List

Candidates who appear in JEE Advanced should note that both Paper 1 and 2 scores will be considered while preparing JEE Advanced Merit List. Candidates who score the minimum required marks in each subject as well as the aggregate marks will be included in the rank list.

If two candidates score the same marks, tie breaker policy will be used to calculate the rank of the candidate.  

JEE Advanced 2019 Tie Breaker Policy

If two or more candidates score the same marks in JEE Advanced 2019, the tie-breaker policy will be used for ranking.

  • The rank will be based on higher marks scored in Mathematics section.
  • If still the same rank calculates, Physics section will be preferred for ranking.
  • If still the rank doesn’t change, the same rank will be awarded to both or more candidates having same marks.

JEE Advanced 2019 Cut off

JEE Advanced cut off 2019 is available only after the counselling and admission process is over. Previous year’s cut off gives candidates’ a fair idea about this year’s JEE Advanced cut off.

Factors Affecting Cut off

JEE Advanced cut off changes every year. There are certain factors that affect JEE Advanced cut-off. Following are these factors:

  • Number of candidates appeared in the exam
  • Difficulty level of the exam
  • Number of seats available for admissions
  • Previous year’s cut off

JEE Advanced 2019 Counselling

JoSAA is the conducting body for JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Candidates qualifying in JEE Advanced 2019 must fill up choices and participate in the seat allotment process. However, it doesn’t guarantee admission to an IIT.

Seats will be allocated depending on factors like score of candidate and availability of seats during the counselling round. Candidates should keep in mind the following points about JEE Advanced 2019 counselling:

  • The online registration for JoSAA Counselling will commence from the fourth week of June, 2019.
  • It will be conducted in seven rounds which may also change depending on the availability of seats.
  • Candidates must be among top 20 toppers in Class XII board or those who secured 75% aggregate marks (65% for reserved categories) in qualifying exam and candidates with minimum JEE Advanced Cut off marks in order to apply for Counselling.
  • Candidates must register and fill their choices on the official website of JoSAA. After that, lock and validate the choices.
  •  Candidates are then allocated seats and they have to report at the allotted centers for document verification.

There are a total 23 IITs offering 10,988 seats among which 5394 seats are allotted to general category candidates, followed by OBC-NCL candidates who are allotted 2870 seats. Rest seats are for SC/ST and PwD candidates.
