JEE Advanced Seat Matrix for IIT Bombay

    Selection of candidates in IIT Bombay undergraduate programs is based on JEE Advanced Results. Total number of seats in Bachelor courses are 929 and several seats are reserved for the backward classes.

    • IIT Bombay offers 3 undergraduate programs i.e. Bachelor of Technology, Bachelor of Science and Integrated degree (B. Tech+ M. Tech) with a total of 16 streams.
    • Duration of Bachelor of Technology and Bachelor of Science is 4 years and for Integrated B. Tech it is 5 years.
    • IIT Bombay provides admission in 8 B. Tech. streams, 2 B.Sc. streams and 5 Integrated B. Tech streams and Seat Matrix for each of the program is 729, 58 and 152 respectively.
    • Selected Candidates must complete Registration process for JoSAA Counselling and fill their choices and submit their form on or before June 26, 2017.

    Candidates applying for JoSAA Counselling for admission to IITs must report at the allotted center for document verification and in case of any discrepancy, candidate will be disqualified.

    JEE Advanced Counselling 2017

    Candidates who qualified the JEE Advanced will be called for the JEE Advanced 2017 Counselling.  The admission will be done by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) through centralize counselling. 

    • Counselling procedure starts on June 19, 2017 and last date for the same is July 19, 2017.
    • It will held in 7 rounds and dates will be allotted with candidate’s respective venue.
    • Admission to regular B.Tech programs will be purely based on the merit list generated from JEE Main ranks published by JEE 2017. The admission process consists of the following stages:
    1. Online application
    2. Choice filling
    3. Round-wise online provisional seat allotment
    4. Seat acceptance
    5. Reporting at the institute for final admission.
    6. Document Verification and payment of application fee.
    •  Allotment of seats will be done, based upon the preference of choices of branches exercised by candidates.
    • In case of any discrepancy, admission will be cancelled.

    Documents Required for Provisional Admission

    Students are required to submit original documents along with one attested photocopy during verification for taking provisional admission and can lead to disqualification In case of discrepancy.

    • JEE Advanced 2017 Original Admit Card
    • JEE Advanced 2017 Seat Allotment Letter from JOCSAP.
    • JEE Advanced Application Form 
    •  Medical examination report
    • Birth Proof i.e.  Class 10th /HSC/Birth Certificate/Any other certificate as proof of data of birth
    • Class 12th or Equivalent Examination Mark sheet and Passing Certificate
    • Category Certificate (OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/PWD/DS) issued by competent authority as per the format.
    • Criteria for Foreign National students — Attested photocopy of the page in the passport comprising the name, photo and nationality.

    DD towards the registration fee. It would be later adjusted in the tuition fee, which is to be paid at the time of admission.
