IPU CET 2019

IPU CET 2019 (Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test) is an annual state-level entrance test organized by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) for admission into different Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in the fields of Engineering, Medical, Dental, Law, and Management etc. IPU CET 2019 is tentatively scheduled in the month of April, 2019 and will be conducted on several days for different programs.

IPU CET Application Form 2019 will release in the last week of January, 2019, the application fee for which is expected to be INR 1000 for all candidates. As per IPU CET Eligibility Criteria 2019 for undergraduate courses, candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board.

IPU CET 2019 is an offline paper-based test posing 150 objective-type questions to be completed in 150 minutes. As per IPU CET Exam Pattern 2019, 4 marks will be awarded for every correct answer while 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. Candidates can avail IPU CET Admit Card 2019 2 days prior to IPU CET 2019 exam.

IPU CET 2019 Important Dates

IPU CET 2019 is tentatively scheduled for the month of April, 201. IPU CET Registration 2019 is expected to start in January, 2019. The entrance test is held separately for different disciplines. IPU CET Eligibility Criteria 2019

IPU CET 2019 is the gateway for admission to a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in different disciplines under GGSIPU and therefore, each program has different eligibility criteria. However, few basic criteria must be fulfilled by the applicants in order to be eligible for the test apart from the program-specific conditions:

  • Applicants for UG programs should have cleared 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University with minimum 55% marks.
  • Applicants for PG programs should have cleared a minimum 3-years Bachelor’s Degree program from a recognized Board/University with minimum 60% marks.
  • SC/ST/PwD candidates along with widows/defence personnel are given a relaxation of 5% marks.
  • UG Program applicants’ age should be 17 – 21 years old.
  • MBBS/BDS applicants should not be beyond 25 years of age.
  • Bachelor of Vocation applicants should not be beyond 45 years of age
  • Maximum Age-limit for post graduate programs is 35 years.

IPU CET Application Form 2019

IPU CET 2019 Application Form will be available online at the official website i.e., tentatively in the last week of January, 2019.Candidates, first have to register themselves by entering basic details such as applicant’s name, contact details, gender, email address, DOB, course you wish to apply for etc. Applicants can select multiple courses under the same category in a single Application Form. However, to select multiple courses across the categories, applicants need to fill separate IPU CET Application Form 2019 under separate registration.

Applicants should carefully read the instructions before starting IPU CET Application Process 2019. Follow these steps to fill IPU CET Application Form 2019.

  • Visit the official website of IP University i.e.
  • Click the tab “IPU CET 2019 Registration”.
  • Upload scanned copy of applicant photograph, signature and left thumb impression in .JPG/.JPEG/.GIF format and of file size less than 80 kb.
  • Enter personal and academic details.
  • Select the course and test center.
  • Check all the details and click on ‘submit’.
  • On your registered email id, a system generated log in id and password will be sent.
  • Pay the application fee of INR 1000, thereafter and save the application form.
  • Once, IPU CET Application Form 2019 is submitted, no changes in the information provided can be made.

The required application fee needs to be paid via Net Banking/Credit or Debit Cards. The Application fee for each course chosen in the Form is INR 1000 individually. The applicant would be guided to the Payment Gateway for completing the transaction.

IPU CET Admit Card 2019

IPU CET Admit Card 2019 will be available online for downloading from, at least 2 weeks prior to the scheduled exam date. No admit card will be delivered to candidates via post or courier services. In order to download IPU CET Admit Card 2019, applicants need should follow these steps:

  • Log in to the website and enter the required credentials.
  • Click on ‘Download Admit Card’ tab.
  • Once the document is displayed on the screen, candidates can take print out of the same.

Applicants are advised to carry in person one Government approved Photo ID along with the Admit Card to IPU CET Exam Center 2019 on the exam date. Applicants not carrying suitable Photo IDs will not be allowed to appear for the test.

IPU CET 2019 Exam Center

IPU CET 2019 is expected to be held in over 9 test centers. B. Tech, MCA and MBA applicants get the liberty to choose between test centers at the time of application process. For all other courses, IPU CET 2019 test centers are located in Delhi. Other IPU Test Centers allocated by the IP University have been listed below.

IPU CET Exam Pattern 2019

IPU CET 2019 is expected to be held in the third week of April, 2019 onwards in a pen-paper based mode. IPU CET Exam Pattern 2019 differs for each discipline and program.  The question paper is either objective or subjective depending on the type of course. The basic marking scheme of IPU CET 2019 is mentioned below.

  • Every correct answer is awarded 4 marks.
  • Every wrong answer will attract a penalty of 1 mark.
  • There will be no negative marking in case of MBBS, PGMC, SSMC, DM, and MCH exams.
  • Total marks for IPU CET 2019 is 600 (except for MBBS, PGMC, and SSMC exam).
  • Total number of questions asked in IPU CET 2019 is 150 while in case of Bio-Technology CET, number of questions is 200.
  • Time duration for IPU CET 2019 is 150 minutes; in case of Bio-Technology CET 180 minutes are allotted to complete the test.

IPU CET 2019 Result

IPU CET Result 2019 will be published online on the university website tentatively around the last week of May, 2019. Candidates can log in with their UID and Password to access their scores. Results are published on the basis of IPU CET Cut OFF list.

Candidates can check their IPU CET Result 2019 by following these steps:

  • Visit the official website.
  • Click on the link ‘Result’ link.
  • Enter course name, roll number and password.
  • Click on ‘Submit’ button. 
  • IPU CET 2019 Result will be displayed on the screen.

IPU CET 2019: Cut-off

Cut-off is the minimum qualifying marks required to secure admission to a specific program. GGSIPU declares IPU CET Cut-Off on its website, before publishing the test results. The cut-off score sets a benchmark for selection of applicants for the counselling process. Several factors as mentioned here are factored in, to arrive at the cut-off score:

  • Previous Year’s Cut-Off
  • Number of Applicants for a particular course

IPU CET Counselling 2019

Post-publication of IPU CET 2019 Result, a merit list based on individual score is prepared. Candidates are shortlisted for the counselling process on the basis of this merit list. Counselling for the academic session 2019-20 is expected to start in June 2019. At IPU, counselling is held in both, online as well as offline mode.

IPU CET Counselling 2019 involves the following steps:

  • Shortlisted applicants need to pay counselling fee of INR 1000 in either online or offline mode. It must be noted that the counselling fee is non-refundable.
  • Online payment can be made from the applicant login on the official website, via Payment Gateway, using Net Banking/Debit or Credit Cards.
  • In case of offline payment, a cash challan can be downloaded from the applicant login on the official website, details filled in and cash deposited at the bank/branch specified on the challan.
  • Registration for counselling commences two days after the payment of counselling fee.
  • Candidates will have to select institutes and courses available, in order of their preference, for possible seat allotment by the authority.
  • Candidates will be allowed the chance to modify/add/delete preferences first round of seat allotment, for the subsequent rounds of counseling.
  • Seat Allotment is done on the basis of merit, respective category, and region.
  • Once the seat is allotted, candidates will have to pay Admission Fee in part.
  • Thereafter, candidates need to visit the allotted college to complete the admission process.
  • Candidates are advised to carry original documents in person for verification purposes.

It must be noted here that candidates who fail to report for admission, will have no claim to their allotted seat and any fees paid will be forfeited.
