Ans. No, I didn’t join any coaching class for the preparations. In my opinion, self-study is of best help. All of us must avoid the coaching as ultimately we’ve to study on our own to prepare for the exam.
Ans. I considered online study materials along with hands on mock tests. I majorly focused on types of questions and my speed to solve them. I also referred Arihant books for logical reasoning. Mock tests are really important to know the syntax of exam and types of questions you get in the exam.
Ans. I solved various practice papers to know the format and type of questions. I also referred to Arihant books and practiced questions according to the syllabus of my examination. There are some short cut methods to solve each type of question. Regular practice is required for the same.
Ans. I considered online notes and study material and also general awareness books. Also, I am already from computer science background, so it didn’t take much time to understand the concepts of computer. I also knew the basics so easily moved over advanced and more important topics.
Ans. The major hacks according to me were online notes, online study material, offline notes and offline study material. According to the syllabus, I divided my time to work on certain type of questions like, puzzles, series etc. After covering and understanding one important topic, I used to practice it again from mock tests and sample papers.
Ans. I personally recommend studying from sample papers available online or from the sample papers given in Arihant Book. The online mock tests are of great help too.
Ans. The most popular search engine that provides all the latest update about the IPU CET exam is Google. I find related links or updates on Collegedunia.com as well. The portal is quite helpful.
Ans. Analyze your syllabus, divide the sections according to it. And start with the ones which can be covered maximum in one day. No need to study for long hours but you need to prepare properly. Focus on one topic at once. If possible, pick up the topic first which is easier for you to cover in a day.
Ans. Yes, it was difficult. I decided to devote 1 hour after my BCA classes to study and prepare for the IPU CET exam. I studied on the weekends for more time.
Ans. Yes, I didn’t understand few sections initially or even the questions but there is a solution to every problem. I found answers to every question and understood it so that I can solve them later and that topic becomes easier.
Ans. I got a college of my choice so I have no regrets on a personal note. But self-study and practice of weak topics can help you.
