NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
MICAT Exam Pattern follows the Multiple Choice Question format. It is divided into 2 papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper -1 comprises 4 descriptive type questions while Paper-2 comprises 90 MCQs. Both the tests are conducted in online mode. Candidates are given 125 minutes to complete the test i.e. 35 minutes to attempt Paper-1 and 90 minutes to complete Paper-2.
MICAT 2019 or Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad Admission Test is conducted for Post Graduate Diploma in Management. Every year nearly 8000 candidates appear for MICAT Exam. It will be held twice in a year. One, in the month of December and other in February.
Interested candidates can apply online on the official website. MICAT Application Form will be made available in September 2018 for Ppaer-1 and in January 2019 for Ppaer-2. MICAT 2019 will be conducted in online mode i.e. it will be a computer-based exam. MICAT Exam Pattern consists of 2 papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2.
Paper 1 contains 4 descriptive type questions and Paper 2 contains 90 objective types of questions. There are total 94 questions asked in the MICAT exam. The exam is mainly held to test thinking ability, reasoning ability, writing skills and General awareness of the candidates.

Candidates will get 2 hours 5 minutes to complete the MICAT Test 2019. They must ensure that they submit the test within the stipulated time. No extra time will be provided to them.
Candidates have to solve Paper-1 which is descriptive in nature in 35 minutes and Paper-2 which is objective nature in 90 minutes.
Till now, the official authority has not released any official information related marking scheme applicable in the exam. Also, different marking scheme will be followed for Paper 1 and Paper2.
Paper-1 will be of descriptive format. Candidates have to attempt 4 questions based on story writing, essay writing and Augmented writing. No negative marking will be done in this section and candidates will be given 35 minutes to complete this section. They are advised to attempt all the questions to attain maximum marks in this section.
Paper-2 is divided into 3 parts. The first part will be of psychometric test. No negative marking is applicable here. In second and third part i.e. logical and reasoning ability and General awareness section, 0.25 mark will be reduced for every wrong answer. Candidates have to attempt 85 questions in approximate 120 minutes.
MICAT 2019 comprises 2 papers and the syllabus for both the papers is different.
In Paper-1, Writing Ability is one of the major areas where a candidate’s ideas can be approached right at its source. It judges the candidates based on their views on a particular topic. In this part, the candidate will be given a topic and the candidate will have to write both for and against the topic.
However, Paper-2 assess the candidates’ analytical aptitude, differing thinking, written communication skills, and general awareness about the communications industry.
