NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
CUCET (Central Universities Common Entrance Test) is scheduled to be conducted on May 21-22, 2017. CUCET 2017 Application form will be available from March 14, 2017 on the official website of CUCET 2017. Candidates can apply till April 20, 2017.
CUCET is a joint exam which is conducted by the 9 state Universities (Haryana, Jammu, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kashmir, Kerala, Punjab, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu) for admission to its various UG (Under Graduate), PG (Post Graduate) and Research programs.
The nine Universities participating in CUCET 2017 has laid down their own CUCET Eligibility Criteria. The candidates are not entitled to admissions simply by appearing and qualifying the CUCET exam. They must fulfill the eligibility criteria laid down by the universities.
The candidates who are yet to appear in the qualifying examination can also apply for CUCET 2017 on the condition that during CUCET 2017 Counselling, the candidates have to produce the marksheet or proof of passing the qualifying examination.
If any candidate appears in CUCET 2017 who otherwise does not satisfy the CUCET Eligibility Criteria, the candidate cannot use any sort of claim over his/her candidature at a later stage. The concerned university reserves the right to take the necessary action including the rejection of the candidature in such situations or in situations where false documents have been produced.
They include the courses from all the three streams Mathematics, Science and Commerce. There is an opportunity for the people for those who wish to join research in Management courses.

The Central University of Jammu is offering the following integrated UG-PG/ Master Degree and Ph.D Programme during the session 2017-18:
A. Integrated UG-PG Programmes (5 years/ 3 years/ 1 year) CHECK HERE

There will be reservation of seats for SC, ST, OBC and Persons with Disabilities in the following manner:
Persons suffering from not less than 40% of any disability as certified by a competent medical authority would be considered for admission under category PWD.
For the purpose of calculation of number of seats under a reserved category, fraction of 0.5 or more will be taken as one seat and fraction of less than 0.5 will be ignored.
Candidates seeking admission under reserved categories will be required to fulfil the prescribed conditions of admission criteria of the Programme of study offered by the CUJ.
Reserved category candidates must submit at the time of admission the caste/ tribe/ non-creamy layer certificate issued by the competent authority as per the prescribed Proforma and attach self-attested copies of the same with the application form.
If a candidate belonging to the reserved category qualifies for admission under the general category, they will be treated as general category candidate. If sufficient number of candidates are not available to fill up the seats reserved for the scheduled tribes, these may be filled by suitable applicants belonging to the scheduled caste category and vice versa falling in the merit.
Concession for Kashmiri migrant students
Concession to the Kashmiri migrant candidates will be given as per UGC instructions. The candidates desirous of these concessions should specially mention on the top of the application form and enclose a certificate from the Competent authority with regard to their migrant status.
Admission for Overseas students
The overseas students desirous of seeking admission in various programmes shall be given the opportunity to apply for admission under “Provisions for admission to International Students”. Such students will be exempted from appearing in CUCET-2017.
Admission to all Programmes will be based on the merit of the students in Entrance Test of CUCET 2017-
Admission to the Ph.D. Programmes offered by the University will be made on the basis of the score of CUCET 2017.

CUCET 2017 Result is expected to be declared in the 1st week of June 2017. After the result, each Central University will declare the counselling/ admission schedule and merit list based on the weightage on CUCET score and the other criteria. The candidates who have appeared in CUCET 2017 are required to submit the following scanned documents positively on the email address of the subject for which admission is sought up to June, 2017, failing which no further request will be entertained.
I. Copies of marks certificates of qualifying examination as per eligibility conditions for all semesters/years (B.Ed. marks card in case of M.Ed.)
II. Category Certificate, if any (for OBC candidates certificate should be in accordance with the Central Govt. format).
III. CUCET-2017 Score card
The Candidates are required to visit the University website (www.cujammu.ac.in) for information relating to admissions. The admissions will be made through counselling. The information relating to admissions will remain posted on the website of Central University of Jammu from time to time.
The candidates who have applied for more than one course should send above information separately for each course in which the candidate is desirous of seeking admission.
The admission to integrated M.Phil.-Ph.D. shall be done later and the candidates who have appeared in CUCET shall be informed afterwards about the schedule of admission through the University website.
