DNB CET 2018 Exam Pattern

DNB CET 2018 Exam Pattern comprises 300 multiple choice single correct response questions in English language only.

  • Entrance examination DNB CET 2018 shall be held in June 2018 and conducted by National Board of Examinations as online computer-based exam only.
  • The examination shall be a multiple-choice questions exam delivered using online mode as per scheme prescribed.
  • There shall be No Negative Marking.
  • Syllabus for DNB NET 2018 involves 19 subjects. Every subject has different weightage.
  • Duration of DNB CET 2018 will be 3 hours and 45 minutes and shall be held in 2 sessions Forenoon and Afternoon.
  • Candidates shall be allocated to appear either in forenoon session or in the AFTERNOON session i.e. DNB CET comprises of ONE session / candidate only.

Candidates successful in DNB CET 2018 shall be asked to participate in a Centralized merit based counselling conducted by National Board of Examinations.

DNB CET 2018 Exam Pattern in Detail

As is mentioned above DNB CET is conducted through online mode for the duration of 3 hours and 45 minutes. There would be 300 questions and every question has 4 options out of which one correct answer is to select. Negative Marking Scheme is not applicable.  300 questions are derived from 19 subjects. Every subject has its specific weightage.

DNB CET 2018 Syllabus

Syllabus for DNB CET 2018 is based upon study area / subjects / study material under MBBS Programme as is prescribed accordingly Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by Medical Council of India with prior approval of Government of India.

As stated above, 19 subjects are the base of the questions in DBN CET exam. Specific weightage is allotted to each subject and accordingly that number of the questions per subject is determined.

Important Instructions

Candidate should know and understand the procedure of exam at Examination Hall. Below are the instructions, a candidate must follow during DNB CET:

  • After verification of ID and capture of digital signatures and biometrics, candidates will be escorted to the designated computer terminal at the examination centre. A Test Centre Administrator (TCA) will check candidate.
  • Candidates are required to keep their admit card and photo identification at all times during the conduct of examination.
  • Pencils, eraser and rough paper will be distributed to each candidate. No need to bring stationary/ writing material to exam centre.
  • Candidates are required to listen to the TCA’s instructions to begin the exam.
  • During the exam, candidate may use the rough paper for rough work.
  • Each workstation will be blocked on three sides – front, left and right. Candidates are advised not to look around at other candidates as there will be surveillance cameras that record both audio and video.
  • Any suspicious or disruptive behaviour on part of DNB CET candidate may lead to cancellation of candidature.
  • For any issues during the exam, candidate may raise his or her hand to notify TCA/Invigilator.
  • In case of any disruption, rest assured that a registered candidate will get to take the exam again within the testing/examination window.
