BCECE 2019

BCECE 2019 is a state-level exam conducted by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examinations Board (BCECEB) annually. It is a gateway for admitting aspirants into Engineering, Medical, Agriculture and Pharmacy courses offered by the participating colleges. 

Some key features of BCECE 2019 are stated below:

  • BCECE 2019 application form will release in February 2019.
  • The minimum eligibility to apply for BCECE is qualifying 10+2 exam with PCB/ PCM as compulsory subjects.
  • Stage 1 will be held in April 2019 while Stage 2 will be held in May 2019.
  • The application fee is INR 660 (INR 330 for SC/ ST category) which can be paid in both online and offline mode.
  • It is an offline exam which will consist of objective type questions. Check BCECE Exam Pattern
  • It is conducted separately for different set of subjects i.e. PCB, PCM and PCMB.
  • Candidates can download their admit card few days prior to the respective exam. 
  • Result for both the stages will be declared separately.
  • BCECE 2019 Result will be declared within 2 weeks of conducting the respective stage of exam.

BCECE 2019 scores will be accepted by several government and private institutes across the state. The test is held in 2 stages every year wherein applicants who qualify stage 1 will advance to the next stage.

BCECE 2019 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for BCECE 2019 is set up by the organizing board. Individuals must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility norms before applying for the entrance exam. Inability to meet the same may lead to disqualification of the candidate. Eligibility criteria for BCECE 2019 are as stated below:


Aspirant must be a citizen of India so as to be eligible for BCECE 2019.

Age Limit:

Certain courses have age restrictions which are as given below-

  • For medical courses, a candidate should have attained 17 years of age as on December 31 of the examination year.
  • The minimum age limit for agriculture courses is 17 years as on July 1, 2019.
  • There is no age limit prescribed for engineering and pharmacy courses.

Educational qualification:

  • Candidates should have passed or appearing for 10+2 (or equivalent) examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
  • They should secure a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% marks for reserved category) in the qualifying examination.

BCECE 2019 Application Form

BCECE 2019 Application Form will be available in February 2019. Participants will be required to fill up general details like personal information and academic qualifications in the form. The application forms can be filled via the online mode only on the official website . The registration and application process consists of 4 steps which are given below:

  • Online registration by providing basic details to create candidate’s login account.
  • Payment of application fee via offline or online mode.
  • Fill BCECE 2019 Application form and upload required documents.
  • The final step is submission of application form by post.

How to fill BCECE 2019 Application Form?

Aspirants can follow the steps give below to apply for the exam:

Step 1: Registration

  • Log on to the official BCECE website i.e.
  • Click on ‘Apply for BCECE 2019’
  • Enter details including name, mobile number and email ID and click on ‘Submit’.
  • They will receive their Registration number and Password through SMS and email upon successful registration.

Step 2: Fee Payment

  • Candidates must then login using their registration number and password.
  • Fees can be rendered through both offline (bank challan) and online mode (Credit/ Debit card, Net banking).
  • The amount of application fee will vary as per the category and subject combination chosen by applicants.

Step 3: Filling BCECE 2019 Application form

  • Aspirants must then fill the Part A form wherein they must provide their personal and communication details.
  • They must then upload scanned images of their recent passport size photograph and signature as per the given specifications.
  • Students will also have to fill the Part B form and enter their academic information. Cross-check all the details and click on ‘Submit’.
  • Take a print out of both Part A and Part B forms to complete further steps.

Step 4: Submitting BCECE 2019 application form and enclosures by post.

  • Aspirants must then submit hard copy of Part A and Part B form along with necessary enclosures to the following address:

  • The enclosures will be mentioned in the prospectus of the exam and will include Mark sheet/ Admit card of Class 12 exam, caste certificate, disability certificate, income certificate, etc.

BCECE 2019 Application Fee

Individuals can pay the application fees for BCECE 2019 by cash, card or net banking. Fees should be paid within stipulated time as per category and subject combination. The process for paying the fees via each method is given below:

  • Online method: Participants can choose any 1 out of the 3 options- Pay by Net Banking or Debit/ Credit Card.
  • Offline method: Applicants can also pay by cash by taking a print out of the bank challan and submit it at the nearest branch of the respective bank.

BCECE 2019 Admit Card

BCECE 2019 Admit Card will be issued to candidates who have successfully registered for the exam. Admit cards should be downloaded from the official website of the conducting authority.

Steps to download BCECE 2019 Admit Card are given below:

  • Log on to the official website of BCECE 2019 i.e.
  • Click on the link related to ‘Download BCECE 2019 Admit Card’
  • Enter registration number and date of birth/ password.
  • Admit card will appear on the screen.
  • Verify all the details given on it and print out 2 colored copies of it.

BCECE 2019 Exam Centers

BCECE 2019 will be conducted in about 40 centers across Bihar including a center in Jharkhand. Participants will be allowed to choose their preferred exam center while applying for the exam. They should fill up the exam center code in the application form. The BCECEB will allot a center to the candidates and the venue of the center will be mentioned in the admit card.

BCECE Exam Pattern 2019

BCECE 2019 is a pen and paper based test (offline test) and will be conducted in the English and Hindi medium. It is conducted in 2 stages and only those who qualify both stages will be able to participate in the counseling process. The question paper will have objective type questions. Here are some highlights about BCECE 2019 exam pattern:

Stage 1

  • It comprises multiple choice questions divided into 4 sections i.e. PCMB. 
  • Students must attempt the sections according to the subject combination they have chosen.
  • Each section comprises 50 questions.
  • The duration of the test will be 2 hours and 15 minutes.
  • +4 marks will be given for every correct answer and one mark will be deducted in case of a wrong answer.

Stage 2

  • Only those individuals who qualify Stage 1 can appear in Stage 2 exam.
  • It will also have 4 sections which have to be solved within 1 hour 30 minutes.
  • Each section will have 100 questions.
  • +4 marks will be given for every correct answer and one mark will be deducted for wrong answer.

BCECE Syllabus 2019 

BCECE syllabus 2019 will be based on 10+2 knowledge of candidates in respective subjects. The entrance exam will consist of questions covering all the topics taught in Class 11 and 12. Students must study all chapters of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and Agriculture of 10+2 level.

BCECE Result 2019

BCECE result 2019 will be declared within 2 weeks of conducting each stage of the exam. The results will be announced on the official BCECEB website in the form of a rank list. Only those students who have qualified the Stage 1 exam will be able to appear for the next stage. The results of both stages can be checked by following these few steps:

  • Log on to the official BCECEB website.
  • Select the link of ‘BCECE 2019 Result’.
  • Download the PDF and look for your roll number to view the result.

The organizing board will publish a Merit list for BCECE 2019 prepared on the basis of the performance of applicants in both the stages of the examination i.e. Stage 1 and Stage 2. The preparation of merit list is subjective to the availability of seats for different courses i.e. on Merit-cum-seat availability basis. Candidates whose names are enlisted in the merit lists of both stages will be eligible for BCECE 2019 counseling.

BCECE Cut Off 2019

Applicants must secure minimum marks as prescribed by the organizing board to qualify both stages of BCECE 2019. The cut off will be decided based on a number of factors like difficulty level of exam, number of applications, number of seats, previous years’ cut off, etc.

Aspirants must clear BCECE 2019 cut off for Stage 1 to qualify to the next round. Candidates can look at previous year's minimum marks required to qualify the premier stage below.

Note: This is only the qualifying cut off and the actual cut off will vary depending on the course and the institute.

BCECE 2019 Counselling

BCECE 2019 Counselling will begin likely from July 2019. It will be conducted in many rounds at the designated counselling centers. Individuals who qualify the 2nd stage must download their counselling letter from BCECEB website. They must attend counselling sessions as per the schedule uploaded on the website. The counseling process will take place through 6 steps which are-

  • Registration: This is a mandatory step for all qualified candidates. Aspirants must fill the online counseling form available on the official website.
  • Choice filling: Students must then login using their registration credentials and exercise their preferences regarding the desired institute. They can fill their choices and lock their seats online through this form.
  • Provisional seat allotment letter: After completing the 2nd step, candidates must download the provisional seat allotment letter and carry it to the designated counseling center.
  • Handwriting verification: This is a uniform process which involves collection of a handwriting specimen of the candidate to ensure its authenticity.
  • Seat allotment: Applicants must login to view their final seat allotment status after handwriting verification is done.
  • Document verification: Aspirants must then download their final seat allotment letter and report to the allotted counseling letter. They must carry certain documents for verification as also the prescribed fee to the center.

Document verification:

Applicants must report to the counseling center with certain documents which will be verified by the officials. These documents are:

  • Final BCECE 2019 Allotment Letter
  • Class 10 and 12 Mark Sheet, Hall Ticket and Passing Certificate
  • BCECE 2019 Admit Card for Stage 1 and Stage 2
  • Copy of 6 Photographs as used in BCECE 2019 Application Form
  • Counseling letter from BCECE
  • Category/ Disability Certificate (if applicable)
