BCECE Updated Schedule for Second MBBS/BDS Counselling Released

    The Updated schedule of BCECE Second Round Medical Counselling has been released at the official website.The round two of BCECE Counselling for Medical Stream that was set to be conducted on September 23, 2016 was postponed for some reason. Now, the counselling for BCECE 2016 will commence from September 28, 2016 to September 30, 2016. It will be held at I.A.S. Building, near Patna Airport, Patna-800014.

    BCECE is an entrance exam conducted under the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Exam Act, 1995. It is conducted yearly for the candidates who seek admission to various professional courses viz. medical, engineering and agriculture streams in various elite institutes across Bihar.

    Steps that are followed in the BCECE Counselling Procedure

    BCECE Counselling for the medical stream will be conducted for providing admissions to the first year of MBBS / BDS courses. The candidates must be aware that the admissions will be purely based on the merit / rank list of NEET. For the candidates who will be attending the BCECE Second Round of Counselling can go through the following steps that are involved in the process:

    • Attendance: As soon as you enter the Counselling hall, the first thing for you to do is to mark your attendance. This is because you will be only called for the counselling if you are marked present.
    • Submission of the Documents: The next thing for you to do is to produce all the necessary documents at the time of your counselling. So, make sure that you have all the necessary documents with you at the time of your counselling.
    • Documents Verification: This is the final step where all your documents will be verified. After the verification, again your name will be called Rank wise for the BCECE Seat allotment process.

    As the BCECE Counselling for MBBS/ BDS course was postponed, the candidates can go through rescheduled time table for the same. They should make sure to take note of the date as per their NEET (UG) Merit Rank.

    Who all can participate?

    Second counselling can be like a ray of hope for various candidates especially for those who are yet to get admission into a college. But, participating in the second round of counselling, there are few terms and conditions that a candidate should be aware of. Mentioned below are the points that one should go through before attending the counselling of BCECE:

    • Only those candidates who are qualified and eligible on the basis of NEET (UG) score against the state quota MBBS/BDS seats for Bihar.
    •  Also the ones who have applied Online for either the First Counselling or in Second Counselling of BCECE.
    • For the candidates who have already taken admission in the BCECE first counselling (September 4 to September 6, 2016) and have applied for change of institution in the prescribed Performa in their respective Colleges are required to attend 2nd Counselling as per rescheduled programme.

    What should the candidates know?

    • That the hard copy of the Online Application Form and the Merit Rank Sheet for the Second Counselling can be downloaded from the Board's Website
    • UGMAC-ID and merit rank sheet for second counselling can be downloaded by visiting the Boards Website www.bceceboard.com and clicking on the link "UGMAC-2016 MERIT FOR SECOND COUNSELLING" after entering the candidates UGMAC-ID & Date of Birth.
    • The candidates should know that the inclusion of UGMAC-ID in the above Counselling reschedule programme will not guarantee admission.
    • The candidates who absents/ fails to appear on the scheduled date & time of their Counselling/Allotment may appear for Counselling any time during the period of Counselling. They should make sure to report on the basis of their respective category.
    •  Each candidate should note that once the Course/ Institution is opted at the time of their Counselling and the same is allotted to them, no subsequent request for change of course and/ or Institution shall be entertained.
    • To check the status of the vacancies for the Second Counselling can be checked on Board's Website. We also inform you that the availability of the vacancies may change with time.
    • If the counselling does not complete on rescheduled date, the concerned candidates have to stay on the next day in order to complete it.
    • If the available seats are filled before the rescheduled date and time, the counselling will be postponed / discontinued.

    After the candidates are allotted the seats and have received a seat allotment letter, then they are required to take admission same day in BCECE Board office itself. Hence candidates are directed to come fully prepared with all necessary and required documents and also a cash of Rs. 10,000/-. The final amount will be made known to the candidates at the time of admission. In case additional amount is needed, they have to deposit it in the concerned college on the date given by the Institution.

    BCECE Mandatory Documents

    At the time of counselling it is important for the participating candidates to have all the necessary documents that are listed below. If the candidate fails to submit any of the document listed below, then there is a possibility that your admission may be rejected. Hence, make sure to carry all the necessary documents at the time of BCECE Counselling.

    • NEET(UG) Admit Card.
    • 6 Passport Size Photographs which was pasted on the NEET (UG) Admit Card
    • Passing Certificate / Marks Sheet / Admit Card of Matric / equivalent Examination.
    • Passing Certificate / Marks Sheet / Admit Card of Intermediate Sc / equivalent Examination.
    • Certificate for Residence of Bihar duly issued by Concerned C.O. countersigned by DM/ SDO (Civil) of permanent residence.
    • Caste Certificate duly issued by Concerned C.O. countersigned by DM / SDO (Civil).

    The candidates will be able to exercise their power to choose an institute and course only after their documents and identity are properly verified. The candidates are required to submit all the documents mentioned above in both original as well as a photocopy of the same. Hence, make sure to carry at least 2 photocopies of each of the document.
