STATE LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
JKCET 2019- Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET) was successfully conducted on April 28, 2019. 33218 candidates had applied against which 27496 candidates appeared both at Srinagar and Jammu centers. It was a pen and paper-based test.
The question paper was divided into 3 sets- A, B, C. JKBOPEE has released the official answer key on April 29 and candidates can go through the link mentioned below to get a clear idea about their marks and here is some really important information regarding the same.
In section C, mathematics, Calculus and Geometry’s questions covered most of the section.
Overall structure of the JKCET exam did not vary much and was the same as that of the previous years, with 3 sections, Each section carried equal weightage. Each question had 4 options. Most of the questions ranged from easy to moderate and 5-7% questions were higher level questions.
The analysis of each of all the sections is given below.
Physics is one of the important topics to cover for JKCET. The Section consists of 60 questions in Paper A. JKCET 2019 Physics syllabus is based on the syllabus of 10+2 prescribed by Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination. Physics section in 2019 was moderate. The Questions in JKCET varied from theoretical and concept based on questions requiring Numerical and practical approach. The topics which carried a higher percentage of questions in the exam were:
|Magnetic effect of currentand magnetism||5 marks|
|Oscillation and waves||4-5 marks|
Other important topics which carried most of the marks in the Physics section were: Current Electricity, Electronic Devices, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Current.
Physics section is the most scoring section in JKCET for the candidates who were well prepared.
The section covering most of the marks of JKCET 2019 Chemistry was Organic Chemistry followed by Inorganic Chemistry. Candidates who have attempted more questions from organic chemistry have more probability of getting good marks in this section. Some of the important topics with maximum weightage are:
|Aldehyde, Ketones and Carboxylic Acid from Organic chemistry||6-7 marks and Organic chemistry (40%)|
|p, d, and f block elements fromInorganic chemistry||4-5marks and inorganic chemistry (30%)|
|Solutions and Electro chemistry from Physical chemistry||3-4 marks and physical chemistry (25%)|
The section consisted of 60 MCQ questions with the maximum weightage, Calculus was undoubtedly the most important section of the JKCET 2019
Mathematics. Also, 2D & 3D Geometry were one of the major sections in the mathematics section apart from calculus.

Result of J&K BOPEE CET will be declared on17th May and the counselling for students to choose their respective branch and college started from 27 May, 2019.
Counselling plays a very important part because it involves the selection of candidate’s field and college depending upon his interest and it also depends on a candidate’s ranking.
