    NEET 2020 List of Important Documents required at Exam Center, Exam Day Schedule and Guidelines

    NEET 2020 is scheduled to conducted on September 13, 2020. The exam is conducted in offline (pen and paper-based) mode. Candidates are required to carry all the important documents at the examination hall else they will not be allowed to enter inside the exam center as these documents assist in verifying the identity of the applicants and approve their candidature in NEET 2020.

    • Candidates must carry NEET 2020 Admit Card and valid id proof at the examination center. 
    • NEET admit card contains all the necessary information of candidates such as name, the application number, exam center, and paper code.
    • Along with that, you have to carry the duly filled Undertaking or Self-Declaration form regarding the COVID-19. 

    To ensure smooth and transparent conduct of examination, the coordinating body instructs the candidates to bring several documents on exam day. Read the article to know more about the important documents that need to carried at the exam center.

    NTA has mentioned in the official e-brochure about all the documents that one needs to carry on the exam day. Discussed below are the names of the documents – 

    NEET 2020 Admit Card (Released)

    • NTA issued the document for all the successfully registered candidates. 
    • NEET 2020 admit card has been released on August 26, 2020 at ntaneet.nic.in
    • It is a mandatory document that must be carried at all the stages of NEET 2020 including exam day, AIQ (All India Quota) & State counselling and Admission processes of various institutes. 

    Valid ID Proof

    • Aadhar Card or any other valid ID proof is the essential document that one must present at the time of examination.
    • The primary purpose of this to support/ verify the details already present in the admit card.

    Passport Size Photograph

    • Along with both the documents mentioned above, candidates are also required to carry multiple passport size photographs to NEET exam center.
    • Photographs must be the same as used in the application form.
    • The purpose behind photographs at exam center is for the documentation process. An attendance sheet for appeared candidates and requires candidates’ photograph for the same. This is done to ensure clarity and transparency in the process.

    Self Declaration Form

    • Candidates are advised to read all the instructions carefully and fill the ‘Self-Declaration Form’, which is a crucial part of the COVID-19 precautions and provided along with the admit card. 
    • Without this form candidates will not be allowed to take the exam.

    Items Barred at Exam Centre

    What not to bring at the Exam Centre?

    Apart from the documents listed above, there are few things/ objects that are prohibited at the examination venue. They are as follows:

    • Electronic Devices – mobile phone, calculators, calculator watches and other such electronic devices are banned.
    • Rough Paper –  candidates are provided with sheets for rough work and hence NTA does not allow any type of paper inside the exam hall.
    • Wallet or Purse –  candidates are not allowed to carry their wallets inside the test venue.
    • Stationary – candidates will be provided with all the required stationery like Blue/ Black ballpoint pen at the exam center only. 

    Note – The authorities will not hold any responsibility in case of any loss of material of a candidate. Hence, it is suggested to make proper preparations prior to NEET exam. 


    NEET Dress Code By NTA

    Dress Code By NTA for NEET 2020 Candidates

    NTA has prescribed the dress code for all those candidates who are appearing for NEET 2020 and it is as follows:

    NEET 2020 Dress code for males:

    • Do not wear boots/shoes that are covering your feet. 
    • Do not wear Kurta Pyjama.
    • Do not wear a shirt with pockets or layers. 
    • Do not wear a wrist watch. 
    • You can wear a light-colored half sleeve t-shirt or shirt. 
    • You can wear a clear frame power specs only.

    NEET 2020 Dress code for females:

    • Hairpins and bands are not allowed.
    • Heavy embroidery clothes are not allowed. 
    • Jeans is advised not to be worn. 
    • Do near wear heavy earrings, pendants, nose rings.
    • Wear Sandals with no or low heels.
    • Wear Salwar or Trousers

    COVID-19 Advisory By NTA

    NEET 2020 Advisory Guideline Regarding COVID-19 by NTA

    • Candidates need to maintain space as per the social distancing norms.
    • Different Time Slot about the reporting at the examination centers to be printed as “Slot time” such as 11.00 A.M, 11.30 A.M.
    • The location link will be provided in the admit card so that candidates can check the location of their exam centers. 
    • Gloves & Masks, Hand Sanitizer, etc, will be provided to candidates and the exam center will be sanitized with Disinfectant liquid. 
    • Videography/CCTV live streaming will be conducted in each room and Manual Attendance and Handwriting sample will be collected at the candidate seat.
    • Manual attendance with signature will be taken.
    • No thumb impression will be taken.
    • The physical movement of Invigilators inside the room to be minimized. 
    • Only one candidate at a time will be permitted to move out in an orderly manner. 
    • The gloves and masks should be disposed of in a pedal push covered bin.

    Important Instructions for Candidates

    There are few guidelines for candidates to be followed on the test day. These guidelines ensure that the entire examination procedure concludes properly. They are as follows:

    • Reach the test venue 90 minutes prior to the exam.
    • Check the seating arrangement and note down your room number.
    • Exiting the hall before the conclusion of the exam is not allowed.
    • Do not bring anything that might result in cancellation of candidature.

    My reporting time in 11 a.m...what if reach there at 12.30 p.m...will there be any strict action taken against me if I don't reach at 11 a.m???

    Hi Riya, as per the guidelines laid by NTA, you have to present at the reporting time, else you might be debarred from appearing for the examination.

    Is postcard size photograph required at exam centre??

    Hello Dev, you must carry a passport size photo of yourself, preferably the same that you uploaded while filling the application form. It may be used for verification purposes.
