    Government Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh offers admission in MBBS/BDS courses through NEET 2020 exam. Only those candidates who will clear NEET 2020 Cut off will be eligible for the admission.

    NEET 2020 will feature a total of around 66000 seats. 85 % seats are filled by state counselling process and rest 15% of seats will be allotted via All India Counselling. According to the previous year’s cutoff trends of Government Medical College (GMC), Chandigarh, A candidate (Open Category) scoring rank in the range 30-150 (AI Quota) has a high chance of landing in GMCH, Chandigarh. If a candidate is entitled to State Quota seats (85%) than a score above 530 or 550 would be enough. In the case of AI (15%) candidates, a score of 600+ is required to be in top 200 merit holders.

    How to Get Admissions Into GMCH Chandigarh?

    Government Medical College Chandigarh offers admissions for undergraduate course i.e. Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) completely on the basis of NEET UG-2020 ranks. Candidates who clear the NEET 2020 cut off will be given admission to the college subject to the fulfilment of all eligibility criteria.

    GMCH Eligibility

    GMCH Chandigarh, Eligibility Criteria for Admissions

    To be eligible to grab a seat in NDMC medical college, one has to fulfil the mentioned criteria.

    • Nationality: Candidate must be a Citizen of India or Overseas Citizen of India.
    • Age Limit: Candidate must be of minimum 17 years of age at the time of admission on or before December 31, 2020. The upper age limit for admission seekers under All India Quota is 25 years relaxed for 3 years for OBC and for a period of 5 years for SC/ST.
    • Essential Academic Qualification: Candidates who have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology individually securing a minimum of 50% in 10+2 are eligible. For the reserved category (SC/ST/OBC), they have to secure a minimum of 40% to be eligible for getting admission. General physically handicapped candidates have to secure a minimum of 45%. Candidates who are appearing in 10+2 examination in 2020 may also appear, subject to their fulfilling the conditions later on.
