Government Dental College, Raipur Cut Off for NEET 2017

Government Dental College (GDC), Raipur is one of the best dental colleges in the state of Chhattisgarh. The college grants admission to the undergraduate dental course, B.D.S. (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) through NEET conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). NEET is an offline exam conducted to get admission to medical colleges recognized by MCI.

Aspiring candidates who wish to take admission to GDC Raipur for the upcoming academic session have to appear in NEET 2017. In 2016, NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) has replaced all state and institutional level exams so qualifying NEET exam is the only way to secure a seat in this college. How to Get Admission in Government Dental College, Raipur

Government Dental College (GDC), Raipur is one of the best dental colleges in Chhattisgarh and India. The college provides B.D.S. program to its students. GDC Raipur is affiliated to Ayush & Health Sciences University, Raipur. The admission to B.D.S. program is as per the rules and regulations laid by the university and strictly on the basis of rank secured in qualifying exam i.e. NEET.

Government Medical College Raipur Admission Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Candidate must be an Indian Citizen or Overseas Citizen of India.
  • Age Limit: Candidate must have completed a minimum age of 18 years at the time of admission on or before December 31, 2017. Maximum age limit for a candidate to apply is 25 years. SC/ST/OBC candidates are offered a relaxation for a period of 5 years.
  • Essential Academic Qualification: Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects with a minimum of 50% are eligible. For reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) candidates, there is an additional relaxation of 10%. Physically handicapped candidates have to secure a minimum of 45%. Aspirants who are appearing in 10+2 examination in 2017 may also appear provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later on.

In case of a tie of scores between two or more candidates, preference will be given to

  • Candidate having higher marks in Biology in NEET 2017.
  • Candidate having higher marks in Chemistry in NEET 2017.
  • Candidate older in age.

The college is recognized to enroll 100 students for B.D.S. program annually subject to the fulfillment of the eligibility criteria. It is mandatory for an admission seeker to qualify the NEET exam and fulfill the eligibility criteria.
