Government Medical College & Hospital (GMC), Chandrapur Cut off for NEET 2017

Government Medical College and Hospital is the only medical college in the district of Chandrapur. Government Medical College offers admission to eminent candidates to MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) course through NEET. NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is an All-India level pen and paper based exam conducted by CBSE for admission to the undergraduate medical course in colleges run with the approval of MCI.

Aspirants for MBBS course have to appear in NEET 2017 to be eligible for the admission process. This year the exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 07, 2017. GMC gives admission purely on the basis of rank obtained in NEET 2017 cut off for MBBS. The college has an annual intake of 100 students for MBBS course. Out of which 15% of seats are offered to candidates with All India Quota and rest 85% to candidates having State Quota.

How to Get Admission in GMC, Chandrapur?

Government Medial College & Hospital, Chandrapur was established in the year 2015. The college welcome 100 students every year to study medicine and surgery from a knowledge enriched faculty. The college is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Science, Nashik. Qualifying NEET 2017 cut off is the only basis to get into this college.

GMC, Chandrapur Admission Eligibility Criteria

The college admits successful candidates who cleared NEET 2017 Cut off and fulfills the eligibility criteria mentioned below.

  • Nationality: Candidate must be a Citizen of India or Overseas Citizen of India.
  • Age Limit: Candidate should be minimum 17 years of age at the time of admission on or before December 31, 2017. The upper age limit for admission seekers under All India Quota is 25 years relaxable for a period of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
  • Educational Qualification: Candidates who have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology securing a minimum of 50% in PCB group at plus 2 level. For reserved category (SC/ST/OBC), there is a relaxation of 10%. Physically handicapped candidates securing a minimum of 45% are eligible. Aspirants who are appearing in 10+2 examination in 2017 may also appear provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later on.

If two or more candidates have equal score in the exam, preference will be given to

  • Candidate having higher marks in Biology in NEET 2017.
  • Candidate having higher marks in Chemistry in NEET 2017.
  • Candidate older in age.

After the successful declaration of the NEET Result, the counselling process will be conducted through MCC and the cut off for each college and seat allotment will be done. The candidates have to report the college with the following documents at the time of admission.
