NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
Navdeep Singh secured AIR rank 1 in the NEET 2018 exam. He secured 697 marks out of 720 with a Percentile of 99.99. He was followed by Madhya Pradesh’s Archit Gupta and Manish Mulchandani securing 2nd and 3rd position respectively.

Navdeep took a leap against 11,38,890 candidates who registered for NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) undergraduate program held in May 6, 2018. This is a national level entrance examination for Undergraduate (MBBS/BDS) program. Through NEET 2018 a candidate gets a chance to take admission in either government or private college.
Navdeep Singh is an 18-year-old boy from Mukstar, Punjab. He studied in Shivalik Public Senior Secondary School, Muktsar. In school, no wonder he scored well, a 10 CGPA in class 10th and 88% in class 12th.
Navdeep is quite fond of cricket. Apart from that, he also likes reading books. Five Point Someone by Chetan Bhagat and 100 Million Oblivion by Varun Chopra are some of his favorite books.
Navdeep’s father Gopal Singh is a Government School Principal and his mother Simarjeet Kaur is an LIC Employee. Also, he has a brother named Navjot Singh.
Navdeep Singh became the topper of NEET exam with 697 marks out of 720 marks. He secured 180 marks out of 180 in Physics, 175 out of 180 in Chemistry and 342 out of 360 marks in Biology. He had a percentile of 99.99 with rank 1.
Navdeep told that he was sure that he will clear the exam but secure AIR 1 was unexpected.
When asked about the strategy, Navdeep shared few tips which a candidate must remember in order to qualify NEET.
Navdeep suggested that one must join a good coaching institute if in case, one wants to join any. He went to Helix Institute which is considered to be the best in Chandigarh. They provided best coaching and good study material which was a great help to him.

Navdeep emphasized on the proper management of time for preparation. He said that every candidate should divide equal time for each subject and give proper time for preparation each day. He also told that he used to study 10 hours daily for the exam and 14 hours well before 2 months from the exam managing time in a useful manner is very important.
Navdeep preferred only NCERT books to study for Physics, Chemistry and Biology for the exam. According to him, NEET is aligned with classes 11th and 12th of central boards. Therefore, it becomes necessary to finish the course from NCERT books before picking up another author. One must not ignore the fact that NCERT books played an important role for a topper. The first step of knowledge lies with them.
He suggested to attempt maximum online test series as they prepare mock exams out of previous year exams and new questions based on the syllabus. So, give good amount of time solving these exams to enhance your confidence and knowledge base.
