NEET 2018 Cut Off for Government Medical College, Aurangabad

Candidates who wish to take admission to this medical college during the 2018-19 academic session have to appear in NEET 2018. National Eligibility Entrance Test is a national level entrance test for admission into MBBS and BDS courses after class 12th.

The test is organised by CBSE in offline mode. The admission to various medical colleges is then done via counselling procedure conducted by MCC. This year the exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 06, 2018. NEET Result will be released online by June 5, 2018.

How to Get Admission in Government Medical College, Aurangabad?

Government Medical College and Hospital. Aurangabad is commonly known as GHATI. The college was established in 1956 with an intake of 50 students for MBBS course. At present, the college has an annual intake of 150 students for MBBS course out of which admission to 15% seats is reserved for candidates appearing under All India Quota.

Government Medical College, Aurangabad is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. In addition to MBBS, the college also offers B.Sc. (Nursing), BPMT, various PG degree and diploma courses.

Government Medical College, Aurangabad Admission Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Candidate must be an Indian Citizen or Overseas Citizen of India.
  • Age Limit: Candidate must be of minimum 17 years of age at the time of admission on or before December 31, 2018. The upper age limit for admission seekers under All India Quota is 25 years relaxable for a period of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
  • Essential Academic Qualification: Candidates passing the HSC or ISCE examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects with English as a core subject securing a minimum of 50%. For reserved category (SC/ST/OBC), there is a relaxation of 10%.
  • Physically handicapped candidates have to secure a minimum of 45%. Aspirants who are appearing in 10+2 examination in 2018 may also appear provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later on.

If two or more candidates have equal score in NEET 2018, preference will be given to

  • Candidate having higher marks in Biology in NEET 2018.
  • Candidate having higher marks in Chemistry in NEET 2018.
  • Candidate older in age.

The college focuses on imparting high standard medical education to all the students who get enrolled here. The conducting body will release the merit list of successful candidates on the basis of eligibility criteria and a qualifying score of NEET. Further counselling process will be conducted through MCC.
