Nil Ratan Sircar (NRS) Medical College and Hospital is amongst the oldest and most revered medical institutions in India offering medical programs in various disciplines at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. How to Get Admission in NRS Medical College & Hospital, Kolkata?

Nil Ratan Sircar Medial College & Hospital, Kolkata came into existence in 1864. Till then the college has grown in leaps and bounds towards imparting medical education. The college welcomes the student to study medicine and surgery from a knowledge enriched faculty. The college is affiliated to West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS). NRS Medical College, Kolkata Admission Eligibility Criteria

The college admits aspirants who cleared NEET 2018 Cut off and fulfills the eligibility criteria mentioned below.

  • Nationality: Candidate must be a Citizen of India or Overseas Citizen of India.
  • Age Limit: Candidate should be minimum 17 years of age at the time of admission on or before December 31, 2018. The upper age limit for admission seekers under All India Quota is 25 years relaxable for a period of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
  • Educational Qualification: Candidates who have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology securing a minimum of 50% in PCB group at plus 2 level. For reserved category (SC/ST/OBC), there is a relaxation of 10%. Physically handicapped candidates securing a minimum of 45% are eligible. Aspirants who are appearing in 10+2 examination in 2018 may also appear provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later on.

If two or more candidates have equal score in the exam, preference will be given to

  • Candidate having higher marks in Biology in NEET 2018.
  • Candidate having higher marks in Chemistry in NEET 2018.
  • Candidate older in age.
