NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
As per the official notification dated February 22, 2018 released by The Veterinary Council of India, candidates applying for admissions to B.V.Sc & AH courses through 15% All India Quota seats will have to compulsorily appear for NEET 2018. Admissions to these 15% seats in bachelor’s course in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry for 2018-19 session at recognized veterinary colleges will be on the basis of merit list issued by CBSE. These 15% seats will be filled through counseling conducted by Veterinary Council of India (VCI).
NEET 2018 is a national level entrance exam conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The results and All India ranks are handed over to Directorate General Health services (DGHS) for counseliing and allotment of All India Quota seats (15%). Now, the entrance test will be mandatory for admission to B.V.Sc & AH. Other admissions criteria will remain same as per the “Veterinary Council of India- Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education Degree Course (B.V.Sc & AH) Regulations, 2016”.
The notification stated: “All those students desirous to take admission to B.V.Sc & AH Degree Course under 15% seats on All India Basis are hereby advised to appear in NEET (UG) 2018 to be conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on May 06, 2018.”
The necessary eligibility requirements for the course include:
The candidate must have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31 of the year in which the admission is being sought.
