Vardhman Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) is a government medical college situated in the state of Bihar. It offers admission to eligible candidates to MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) course through NEET.

How to Get Admission in VIMS, Nalanda?

Vardhman Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS), Nalanda is a government medical college established in the year 2011. The college is affiliated to Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna. The intake capacity for the MBBS course is 100 per year. The college not only imparts medical education but also extends the moral values and humanity to the students

Vardhman Institute of Medical Sciences Admission Eligibility Criteria

The college offers quality education to the aspirants who cleared NEET 2017 Cut off and fulfills the mentioned below eligibility criteria

  • Nationality: Candidate must be a Citizen of India or Overseas Citizen of India.
  • Age Limit: Candidate must be of minimum 17 years of age at the time of admission on or before December 31, 2017. The upper age limit for admission seekers under All India Quota is 25 years relaxable for a period of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
  • Educational Qualification: Candidates who have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology with English as one of the languages of study and secured a minimum of 50% in PCB group is eligible. For reserved category (SC/ST/OBC), there is a relaxation of 10% so they have to secure a minimum of 40% to be eligible. Aspirants who are appearing in 10+2 examination in 2017 may also appear provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later on.

In case of a tie between two or more candidates, preference will be given to

  • Candidate having higher marks in Biology/Biotechnology in NEET 2017.
  • Candidate having higher marks in Chemistry in NEET 2017.
  • Candidate older in age.
