NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
AIIMS PG 2017 was successfully conducted on May 07, 2017. The level of exam was moderate to difficult. The exam was held in online mode at various exam center of AIIMS. The official answer key is not released yet, but the unofficial answer key has been released.
The question paper considered of 200 objective type questions which were divided into three sections i.e. Pre-clinical, Para-clinical and Clinical Phase. Candidates had the duration of three hours (180 Minutes) to attempt all the questions. One mark will be awarded for every correct answer and 1/3 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response. No marks for unanswered questions.
AIIMS PG is a national level entrance test conducted for admissions to Master of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Dental Surgery (MDS), M.Ch. (Master of Chirurgiae) and DM (Doctor of Medicine). The exam is conducted in online mode (Computer Based Test) twice a year in the month of January and July. After the declaration of result shortlisted candidates on the basis of their performance in written test, will be eligible for counselling process. AIIMS PG Counselling will be conducted by AIIMS three rounds.

AIIMS PG 2017 Result is expected to be announced on May 13, 2017 on the official website. The minimum qualifying marks for AIIMS PG is 50% marks. Candidate is required to score minimum 50% marks in AIIMS PG entrance exam to qualify the exam. Only students who have scored more than 50% marks have their name displayed in the AIIMS PG 2017 Merit List.
In case a condition arises where two applicants have secured equal marks a tie-breaking practice is followed. The two-step process is as follows:
AIIMS PG 2017 paper consists of 200 questions from Pre-clinical, Para-clinical and Clinical Phase. All the questions were in MCQ format (Multiple Choice Questions). The duration of the exam is 3 hours (180 Minutes). To complete the exam in given time, candidates should divide their time according to number of section in the exam.
As per reports, AIIMS PG 2017 was the toughest yet among all the PG medical tests conducted in India. Most experts believe that the AIIMS PG exam pattern was similar from other PG medical entrance because of analytical questions. However, to score well, one must have sound knowledge of Clinical and Basic clinical science.
One mark was awarded for every correct answer, negative marking was also applicable. Applicants must score minimum 50% marks to be shortlisted for counselling process.
