TOEFL 2020 NEWS
When you’re looking to study abroad, there are many exciting choices to be made, starting with which English-language test can best help you prepare. The TOEFL® test gives you an advantage at universities worldwide, including in the U.S., Australia and Canada.
Coming in August, the English-language test that helps you do your best is introducing new enhancements, including a shorter test, MyBest™ scores and easier registration. All these exciting changes are designed to help you confidently speak, listen, and understand English better and achieve your test goals faster. So you can put your plans in motion sooner.
Here are more of the great benefits you can expect from the better TOEFL iBT® test.
A shorter test for better results.
For your test taking convenience and performance, the TOEFL test will be made shorter and will take approximately 3 hours to complete. Researchers have learned over time that test-takers often benefit from a shorter test through better focus and lessened fatigue. In fact, you will still be able to finish the test in less than half a day with no need to return for a second day.
With no changes to the overall format, question types or scoring scale, you will be able to prepare exactly the same way as before and enjoy the same amount of time answering each question. There will simply be fewer questions in each section. Most importantly, the TOEFL test maintains the same standard of quality that students have come to expect and that universities have come to rely on.
So relax, you’ve got this!
Send your top scores to your top schools.
Only the TOEFL test has MyBest scores, allowing you to showcase the top section scores from all of your tests in the previous 2 years—to help you stand out.
