AP PGECET 2017 Chemical exam conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam was successfully conducted on May 12, 2017. The difficulty level of the paper was moderate. AP PGECET 2017 Answer Key along with solutions is available on this page.
Those of you who have taken the AP PGECET for admission in M.Tech (in Chemical) program might have been looking for the answer key. The answer key were released on the official website within one month of the conclusion of the exam. However, non-official answer keys were released by various coaching institutes on the day of the exam itself (by afternoon). Candidates refer to the answer keys for analyzing their performance before the result is out.
The authority released the answer key within a week after the examination conducted. The answer key released were separate for all the courses. Candidates can check the answer key via online mode through the website (link is given on this page). Through answer key, candidates can get a rough idea about how much marks they are going to secure. Candidates can use answer keys for the following reasons:
Candidates can have a view at AP PGECET Question Paper for clear and easy view of ;evel of questions and difficulty level of exam. Candidates can even challenge the answer key if they find any discrepancy. The challenges against the answer key were referred to the exam board committees constituted by Andhra University.
Candidates waiting to know their total score in the entrance test can check, the AP PGECET Answer Key by following these steps.
1. Visit the official website of AP PGECET
2. Go to the Notification tab and click on the link of answer key.
3. Enter your Roll Number and Date of Birth and click on the submit button.
4. The PDF file will open for answer key. Candidates can download the answer key for its future reference.
AP PGECET 2017 chemical Engineering Exam was divided into 2 sections- General Aptitude and Technical Questions. 25 Questions were asked from the General Aptitude section and 95 questions were from Technical Section. The level of exam was at par with that of previous year. Majority of the questions were covered by the following topics-
As per the official notification on JNTU’s website the qualifying percentage for obtaining a rank in AP PGECET 2017 is 25% of the total marks that is 30 marks out of a total of 120. However, it shall be noted that there shall be no minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST candidates.
Apart from this a separate cut-off will be fixed for candidates applying through GATE. The cut offs would be determined individually for each specialization and would be uploaded on the official website. The details related to cut off is tabled below for your reference.

Candidates who will secure more than AP PGECET Cut off would be called for counselling. However, it shall be noted that surpassing the cut off does not guarantee admission. The seats to the candidates would be allocated on the basis of rank secured by them and the decision of conducting authority would be final in this regard.
