TS LAWCET 2019 or Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test 2019 is an annual state-level entrance exam for admission into undergraduate law programs in the state of Telangana. TS LAWCET is convened by Kakatiya University, Warangal on behalf of TSCHE (Telangana State Council for Higher Education), the apex body of Higher Education in the state.

Candidates must check below the important highlights of the exam.

  • Applicants can seek admission into 3-year LLB and 5-year integrated LLM programs in the law institutes of Telangana through TS LAWCET 2019.
  • TS LAWCET 2019 is scheduled to be held in the last week of May 2019 at 12 exam centers.
  • TS LAWCET 2019 Application Form will be available in the online mode at the official website.
  • Candidates who submit the Application Form complete in all respects will be able to download TS LAWCET Admit Card 2019 prior to the scheduled exam date.

TS LAWCET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Telangana State Council for Higher education sets the eligibility criteria for candidates to appear in TS LAWCET 2019. However, the criteria may vary on the basis of course that a candidate is opting to get admission in, 3 year LLB course or 5 year LLB course.

Details of TS LAWCET Eligibility Criteria 2019 according to different courses are mentioned below:

TS LAWCET 2019 Application Form

The Online Application form for TS LAWCET 2019 is expected to be available in March 2019 on the official website. The documents that applicants need to keep handy during the application form filling process are tabulated below:

The Application Form process can be completed in the following steps:

  1. Visit the official website www.lawcet.tsche.ac.in.
  2. Click on the ‘Apply Online’ tab.
  3. Fill the details as per the instructions on the form and upload the necessary documents.
  4. Fees for TS LAWCET 2019 can be filled in both online (Credit/ Debit Cards or Net Banking) and offline (through Telangana State Online Centers/Citizen Service Centers).
  5. Recheck details entered and submit the TS LAWCET 2019 Application Form after obtaining a print of the same for future reference.

Please note that applicants who submit a valid email id in TS LAWCET 2019 Application Form will receive a copy of the filled-in form via email.

TS LAWCET 2019 Admit Card

Applicants who have submitted the Application Form complete in all respects along with the requisite fees will be issued TS LAWCET 2019 Admit Card. The same can be downloaded from the official website, expectedly in May 2019.

TS LAWCET Admit Card 2019 will mention details like the applicant’s registration number and the center allotted for TS LAWCET 2019. The steps involved in downloading the admit card are:

  1. Visit the official website of TS LAWCET 2019, i.e. www.lawcet.tsche.ac.in.
  2. Click on ‘Download Hall Ticket’ tab
  3. Enter Application Number and Date of Birth and click ‘Get Hall Ticket’ tab.
  4. The Admit Card will be displayed on-screen.
  5. Download, save and print the document for future reference.

Please note that the admit card is a mandatory document that needs to be carried by candidates in person to the exam center.


TS LAWCET 2019 Exam Center

Applicants can, during the application process, select their choice of exam center. The allocation of exam center is done by exam conducting authority on the basis of the candidate’s preference. However, the authority’s decision in this regard is final and binding on all.

TS LAWCET 2019 Exam Pattern

TS LAWCET 2019 Exam Pattern is designed by TSCHE and aims to test candidates’ ability and aptitude to pursue the study of law. The test will have a total of 120 questions, split into 3 sections. The maximum marks that can be scored in the exam are 120 and the time allowed to complete the test is 90 minutes. The section-wise break-up of questions is tabulated below:

TS LAWCET 2019 Syllabus

The scope of the topics covered in TS LAWCET 2019 entrance exam is tabulated here. For the 5-year program, the scope of questions will be of intermediate level while for the 3-year program, the expected standard of questions will be of degree level.

TS LAWCET 2019 Result

TS LAWCET 2019 Result is expected to be announced in June 2019 on the official website of TS LAWCET 2019. A few important points to note about TS LAWCET 2019 Result are:

  • Prior to the declaration of the results, TSCHE will release the preliminary answer key for TS LAWCET 2019 in May 2019.
  • Candidates will be allowed a short window of 3-4 days to challenge the Answer key.
  • Soon after, the final answer key will be released which would be followed by TS LAWCET 2019 Results.

Candidates can access their results from the official website with the following steps:

  1. Visit the official website.
  2. Click on ‘TS LAWCET 2019 Results’ tab
  3. Enter Application Number and Date of Birth and click ‘Get Results’ tab.
  4. The Scorecard is displayed on-screen.
  5. Download, save and print the document for future reference.

TSCHE has preset cut-off score for the counseling process. A candidate has to at least score 35% in TS LAWCET 2019 in order to be eligible for counselling, the score works out as 42 of 120. There is no specific relaxation in cut-off for SC/ST candidates. Candidates also need to meet the individual cut-off scores released by the respective colleges in order to secure admission in the programs offered by them.


TS LAWCET 2019 Counselling

TS LAWCET 2019 counselling schedule is expected to commence in June 2019, post declaration of results. The process is completely online and only candidates having a valid TS LAWCET rank are eligible to participate in the counselling round. The steps involved in the Online Counselling Process are:

  1. Visit the official website of TS LAWCET 2019, i.e. www. lawcet.tsche.ac.in.
  2. Click on ‘Counselling 2019’ tab.
  3. Candidates need to enter their TS LAWCET hall ticket number, rank and mobile number as instructed on the webpage.
  4. A list of available courses and colleges is displayed on-screen from which the applicants need to select their preferred course and college.
  5. Once candidates are satisfied with their selections they need to click on the Confirm/Submit button. Candidates are advised to obtain a print of the selections made in TS LAWCET online counselling process.
  6. Upon submission of the options selected by the candidates, a confirmation SMS will be received on the registered mobile number.
  7. Next, candidates need to download and print their provisional allotment letter which they need to present for admission.

Candidates need to carry following documents for the admission process of TS LAWCET 2019:

  • Scorecard of TS LAWCET 2019
  • Admit Card/Hall ticket of TS LAWCET 2019
  • All Academic Certificates leading up to the qualifying examination
  • Migration or Transfer certificate from the previous institution
  • Residence proof of candidate
  • Caste certificate for SC/ST candidates
  • Income certificate of candidate’s parents (in case the income of parents is below INR 2, 00,000)
  • Sports/NCC/CAP certificate (if any)
  • Colored passport size pictures of the candidate
