TS LAWCET Notification Released, Exam on May 25

TS LAWCET is a state-level law entrance examination for admissions to 3 year and 5 year LLB courses offered by Telangana State Colleges/ Universities. This year, Osmania University will hold the exam on May 25 in online mode.

The official website of TS LAWCET 2018 i.e. www.lawcet.tsche.ac.in will become active shortly. Every year, around 15 thousand candidates apply online for Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test. Registration window for all Indian citizens satisfying local/ non-local status will be open from 3rd week of March, 2018.

Candidates having their name in the Merit list can participate in TS LAWCET Counseling, which will take place after the declaration of results in June 2018. From this year onwards, the law entrance examination will be conducted via online mode only. Official dates for TS LAWCET 2018 have been announced by the concerned authority.

Exam dates has been released by the conducting authority and has scheduled the exam for May 25, 2018. The official schedule for Telangana law exam is tabulated below:

TS LAWCET 2018 Process

The entire process for Telangana Law exam is similar to that of AP LAWCET. It begins from registration and ends on counselling for final admissions. Listed below is a brief for the same:

Step 1: Filling in TS LAWCET Law Application Form

Law aspirants can fill in the application form in March 2018. It will be available online at lawcet.tsche.ac.in. Registration can be done by following the steps listed below:

  1. Payment of Registration Fee – candidates can access the form by paying the application fee. General Category has to pay INR 350 and SC/ ST category has to pay INR 250.
  2. Fill in the Online Form – enter personal, academic and examination details.
  3. Uploading Documents – there are certain guidelines defined by the conducting body that needs to be followed at the time of scanning and uploading. Check Guidelines for Uploading Photo and Signature in MH CET Law Form   
  4. Final Submission – it is important to preview the online form before finally submitting it.

Step 2: Download TS LAWCET 2018 Admit Card

The hall ticket will be released one week before the TS LAWCET 2018. The document will be released on the official website of TS LAWCET/ TSCHE. Listed below are important points related to the admit card:

  • will not be delivered by post or any other method of correspondence.
  • it contains crucial information related to exam, like candidate’s name & roll number, name and code of exam center, date and time of exam, etc.
  • carry hard copy of admit card, along with a valid ID proof to the exam center.

Step 3: Appearing for TS LAWCET 2018 Exam

The exam is scheduled for May 25. Some of the important information about the TS LAWCET 2018 exam is mentioned below.

  • Exam will be held in Telugu and English languages.
  • There are 120 objective type questions, to be solved in 90 minutes.
  • There is no negative marking.
  • The exam comprises of three sections, namely General Knowledge and Mental Ability, Current Affairs and Aptitude for the Study of Law.

Step 4: Release of TS LAWCET 2018 Result

TSCHE will release the results in the last week of June 2018. Check the result on the official website of the university. For all future references, candidates are advised to take a hard copy (print out) of their result as it will prove to be helpful during the course of admission procedure. The cutoff is set at 35% marks for general candidates, although no cutoff is set for SC/ST categories.
