TS LAWCET Photo and Signature Specifications

Osmania University has defined certain guidelines for scanning and uploading photograph and signature in the application form. The state level law entrance exam is scheduled for May 25, 2018.

Application Form will be available from the third week of March 2018. As the entire TS LAWCET Registration will be done via online mode, candidates have to upload the images as per the specifications provided by the authorities. Failing to do so will result in the rejection of candidature.


TS LAWCET Photograph Specifications

While uploading the photograph, candidates must ensure the following points and specifications:

  • Photograph must be a recent passport size color picture.
  • The picture must be clicked against a white background
  • While getting clicked, look straight at the camera with a relaxed face.
  • If you have to use flash, ensure there's no "red-eye".
  • Photographs with candidates wearing hats, caps, and/or dark glasses will not be accepted
  • If a candidate wears glasses, he/she must ensure that there is no reflection and their eyes are visible clearly in the photograph

TS LAWCET Signature Specifications

Along with the photograph, students must also attach the scanned image of their signature. The specimen of the same will be printed on TS LAWCET Admit Card.

The specifications related to the signature image are as follows:

  • Signature must be done on a white paper with a black ink pen.
  • The signature must be done only by the applicant and not by any other person
  • The signature on the hall ticket and attendance sheet at the time of the law entrance examination must match the uploaded signature. Any mismatch will result in cancellation of candidature.

Steps to Resize Photo and Signature Image

Scanned images of the photograph and signature can be resized easily by following the steps given below-

Option 1 - Resize photo using Photoshop

  • Open the image to be resized
  • Click on the Image drop-down menu and select Image Size
  • Type the dimension in Width and Height box
  • Uncheck the box Constraint Properties
  • Click ‘Ok’ button
  • After clicking on the button, check image properties for image size

Option 2 - Resize photo using MS Paint 

  • Open image in MS Paint
  • In the toolbar, go to resize option
  • Uncheck “Maintain Aspect Ratio” and readjust the pixels as instructed
  • Click ‘Ok’ button
  • After clicking on the button, check image properties for image size

Dos and Don’ts for TS LAWCET Photograph and Signature 

Candidates appearing for TS LAWCET must keep the following points in mind:

  • Taking pictures from a smartphone must be avoided. The photograph to be uploaded must be professionally clicked and should be of high quality.
  • Avoid abstract or dark backgrounds in the photograph.
  • The face of candidate (between chin and forehead) must occupy more than 50% area of the photograph.
  • At the time of examination, student’s signature on the attendance sheet/ admit card must match the uploaded signature.
  • Attendance sheet/ admit card must be signed in the presence of an invigilator.
  • File size(s) must be as per the specifications mentioned above.
  • The image file for both the signature and photograph must be in JPEG format

Carry extra passport size photographs to the test centers.
