NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
CLAT 2017 Seat Allotment will start from June 05, 2017. The admissions to LLB and LLM courses will be based on merit-cum-preferences of the candidates. It is a process involved in counselling for admission to NLUs (National Law Universities). The allotment of seats in the NLUs will be done only if they are in the merit list and their preferences.
CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) is an all India law entrance exam, conducted rotationally by 18 NLUs (National Law Universities). It is held for the candidates seeking admission in various Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate degree programmes offered by the NLUs.
CLAT is conducted in Online mode (CBT- Computer Based Test) and the questions are objective in nature. There are 200 questions in the test paper for LLB and 150 questions in the test paper for LLM courses. The eligibility to appear in CLAT is 10+2 for LLB programmes, and LLB or equivalent degree for LLM programmes. For every correct answer 1 mark is awarded but for every wrong answer 0.25 mark is deducted.
After the CLAT Result 2017 is declared, the counselling schedule is released by the CLAT Participating Colleges 2017. Candidates should make sure to go through the following table to know the seats available in various NLUs.
In the following table, course wise seat matrix is mentioned. Through CLAT exam, candidate can get into undergraduate and postgraduate course- LLB (Bachelor of Laws) and LLM (Master of Laws).
