Another very prevalent career opportunity is litigation. This simply means acting as a lawyer yourself and present cases of clients in courts and tribunals. Hiring a lawyer is necessary for a common man to fight any case in the court and thus this profession has unlimited scope.
To be eligible for practicing law, you need to be enrolled with state/central bar council and you will also need to clear the examination of Bar Council of India. This profession has no fixed income but if you do well, you can earn a lot of respect along with good amount of money as well.
With growing demand of law practitioners, there is natural increase in demand of law teachers and professors as well. If you possess the proper knowledge and are willing to teach, then this is really an attractive profession.

This is another prestigious career option available after completing your law degree. It is a regulatory law service of Government of India. This is a job under Central Civil Services (Group A) and works under Ministry of Finance, Government of India.
To get a job under Indian Corporate Law Services, one has to clear the Civil Services Examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission. However, one can also clear the exam of State Level Service Commission to get such a job under state government. This is a highly respectable job and stands amongst one of the most sought-after career options after completing a law degree.
The last and again a very obvious career option is becoming a judge. One can become a judge by clearing State Level Judiciary Exams. The law graduates who clear this exam are generally appointed as entry-level judges in various courts. If everything goes well, one can also become a High Court judge after some years of experience.
Sometimes, advocates who have been practicing for a long time are also directly appointed as judges. This is another method of entering into judiciary but might take a long time.
