NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
UPES (University of Petroleum and Energy Studies), Dehradun is offering admission to various Law courses viz. BA LLB, BBA LLB, B.Com LLB and B.Tech LLB. Candidates willing to take admission in these courses can apply at the official website of UPES i.e. www.upes.ac.in. The last date to apply is May 3, 2017.
UPES has emerged as an innovative institution, offering industry-focused specialized graduate, post graduate and doctoral programs in key areas such as Energy, Infrastructure, Transportation, Information Technology, Design, Planning & Architecture, Public Policy and Legal studies. For admission to its law courses, the University had released an official notification on its website. The details related to UPES LLB Admission through CLAT 2017 can be read below.
Candidates can choose between courses of 5 or 6 years of duration. The course details of LLB programmes in UPES is given in the below table:

For the candidates willing to take admission in UPES, can apply through their CLAT 2017 Score. CLAT (Common Law Aptitude Test) is a common exam that a candidate has to take in order to get into any of the colleges accepting CLAT Scores. In order to apply in UPES, you can refer to the exam dates given below:

Candidates applying for any law programme in UPES, are suggested to check the eligibility before filling the application form. The eligibility criteria is different for different LLB courses. It has been mentioned below:
BA LLB (hons)/ BBA LLB (Hons)/ B.Com LLB (Hons): All the candidates willing to pursue this course need minimum 50% marks in 10th standard and 50% marks in 12th standard. Candidates who will rank up to 5000 in CLAT or minimum 60% and above score in LSAT India, will be eligible for admission in UPES University.
B. Tech LLB (hons): Candidates interested to apply for UPES LLB must have minimum 60% marks in high school (10th Standard) and 60% marks in secondary level (12th standard) in PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics). Candidates who will rank up to 50000 in CLAT or minimum 60% and above marks in LSAT India will be eligible for admission in UPES.
1. Only candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 1, 1997 are eligible to apply for admission. Date of Birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University certificate only will be taken as authentic.
2. Upto 20% seats shall be filled through Board Merit/ CLAT/ L-SAT India Category. In case, any seat remaining vacant UPES has the right to fill such seats through UPES Entrance Exam.
Filling up of the UPES application form is underway. Candidates are suggested to check UPES eligibility criteria before registering. All the eligible candidates can apply before May 3, 2017. Application form can be filled online at the official website of UPES i.e. www.upes.ac.in.

Candidates willing to apply for UPES, have to appear in either UPES Law Studies Aptitude test/ L-SAT/ CLAT. Candidates selected through CLAT/ L-SAT merit list will be invited directly for GD and Interview. The details regarding UPES Selection Process for LLB courses is given below:
BA LLB (Hons.)/ BBA LLB (Hons.)/ B.Com. LLB (Hons)- Candidates with minimum 50% Marks in Higher & Senior Secondary (10th & 12th) and CLAT ranking upto 5000/ L-SAT India score of 60 percentile or above will be exempted from UPES Law Studies Aptitude test and will be invited directly for GD and Interview.
B. Tech LLB (Hons.)- Candidates with minimum 50% Marks in Higher & Senior Secondary (10th & 12th), minimum 50% Marks in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) at Senior Secondary Level (12th) and CLAT ranking up to 5000 or LSAT India score of 60% or above will be exempted from UPES Law Studies Aptitude test and will directly appear for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
BA LLB (Hons.)/ BBA LLB (Hons.)/B.Com LLB (Hons)- Candidates with 85% marks in 10th and 12th best of five subjects (English as one of the compulsory paper) are exempted from UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test (UL-SAT) and will be invited directly for GD round and Personal Interview.
B.Tech LLB (Hons.)- Candidates who have minimum 70% marks in 10th, 12th and 12th with PCM (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) are exempted from UPES-SAT and admissions will be through Merit Ranking.
UPES ULSAT is the law entrance exam of UPES. The exam will be held on May 13, 2017. The exam will be will be conducted for offering admissions into five-year integrated law programmes including BA LLB, BBA LLB and B.Com LLB. Candidates who will successfully qualify UPES SAT exam will go for Group Discussion. Shortlisted candidates will be eligible for Personal Interview.
