NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
VIT University conducts VITMEE for admissions to M.Tech and other PG programmes. Applicants can fill the VITMEE Admission form 2017 from March 10, 2017 till May 19, 2017.
The main purpose of conducting VITMEE 2017 is to provide quality education to students and help them grow better. Thus, students who are interested in pursuing PG Courses in Engineering in Vellore must appear for VITMEE 2017. VITMEE 2017 is a computer-based test. Thus, VIT offers quality education to eligible candidates from all over India.
The question paper consists of 100 questions of one-mark each. Once VITMEE is conducted successfully, VIT results will be declared online. Then, a merit list of the shortlisted candidates will be prepared. Candidates meeting the admission criteria will have to register themselves for the VIT Counselling.

The computer-based test (CBT) objective question Paper consists of 100 questions with a maximum of 100 marks of which 80 will be from the technical subject and 20 will be from English communication. NO negative marks for wrong answers. The Exam Pattern of VITMEE 2017 is discussed below:
Duration: The exam will be of 2 hours and no extra time will be allotted to the candidates.
Language: The question paper will be provided in the English language only. The request to attempt it in any other language will not be entertained.
Mode of Exam: The exam will only be held in online mode.
Question Type: All the questions in the exam will be of Multiple choice type. Candidates will be given 4 alternate choices, out of which only one will be correct.
Number of Question: There will be total 100 MCQ in the exam and the candidates will have to solve all. Out of these, 80 questions will be from technical subject paper. However, rest of the 20 questions will be from English communication.
Marking Scheme: The marking scheme of VITMEE 2017 is such that each question is of 1 mark. The marks will only be allotted if candidates will choose the correct option as the answer. Also, for marking incorrect response marks will not be deducted.
VITMEE 2016 paper was time-consuming but easy as compared to the previous year paper. The number of conceptual questions was more than calculation-based questions. Candidates can go through the following table to know the difficulty level of all the topics in this section:

Technical subject questions: 80
The level of difficulty for English Section was moderate. Out of 20 questions, 14 questions were of moderate difficulty level. Rest 6 were easy to attempt. Most of the questions were grammar based i.e. Subject – Verb Agreement, Tense forms, Voices, Articles and Preposition, Use of Conjunctions, etc. On an average, it took 15-20 minutes in solving this section as per the majority of test takers.
