NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will release the result for CDS Exam which is scheduled for February 4, 2018. All the shortlisted candidates will be called for CDS SSB interview. Call letters will be successfully posted on the student’s logins on official websites of respective Indian armed forces branches or mailed to the student’s registered mail ID.
SSB is a test that takes 5 days to access the students and decide whether the students are suitable for job or not. Students have to prepare for a personal interview, GTO and psychology tests. But student’s final selection depends over the conference.
This article gives the complete details about what happens in SSB Interview which is comprised of following steps:
The conference is commenced on the 5th day of SSB Testing. In the conference, all the assessors of the particular board including president and deputy president collectively discuss and prepare students result of 5 days testing.
It is the final event of the five-day testing process. The board conference is conducted by the president, Deputy President and all the assessors that are the GTOs, Psychologists and Interviewing officers. Each candidate is screened by all the three assessors who examined the student’s performance independently using the specific technique. Before the board conference, students will be asked to appear individually. For taking the final decision about the candidate, the detailed process of validation and counter validation is undertaken. During the conference, some questions will be asked to the students. The final recommendation, suitability of the candidate as well as final marks will be awarded to each of the candidates.
Technical officer of Board is responsible for announcing the result. Students who are unable to clear the CDS examination will not be able to take admission. On the other hand, all the students who have successfully cleared the CDS examination and are also recommended by the board will stay for the medical examination which takes at least one-week duration.
The closing address is generally given by the Deputy President of the board before the Board Conference. During the address, the officer will tell the highlights of the selection system and also explains about the qualities that Armed forces are looking for in the student’s personality. They also provide the clarification to any doubts or the questions raised by the candidates. Applicants can also put forward any complaint or problem or can give any suggestion that they have experienced during their stay at SSB.
After the declaration of the result, all the shortlisted or recommended candidates can appear for the medical examination. To complete the medical board, the process takes total 4 to 5 working days for the concerned military department and after that, the candidates are dispersed. NDA students are examined for both Army and Navy. President of Medical Board will guide candidates for Appeal/ Review Medical Board procedures. In the case, if students have declared unfit then they can seek advice from President Special Medical Board for review/ appeal.
