NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
Common Written Exam for IBPS PO Mains has been successfully conducted on Sunday i.e. November 20, 2016. The exam was held for 2 hours 20 minutes in 4 slots. Overall the test takers found the exam of moderate level of difficulty.IBPS will declare the online Mains exam result of IBPS PO in the month of December, 2016.
This article focuses upon analysis of the IBPS PO Mains overall difficulty, sectional difficulty, number of questions asked as per topics sections, expected cutoff. This year, English section and Reasoning section is considered to be a tough one. However, the Quantitative Aptitude section remained to be moderate in nature.

There were 5 sections as discussed in the IBPS PO Exam Pattern with a total of 200 questions. The total questions comprised of Reasoning (50 questions), English language (40 questions), Quantitative aptitude (50 questions), General awareness (40 questions), and Computer knowledge (20 questions).

The level of English was difficult. Out of 40 questions 20 questions were of moderate difficulty level. Rest 20 questions were easy to attempt.

Most of the questions were sentence correction & spotting errors based. This year, Reading comprehension was riddled with challenging text and Para jumbles required precise logic for accurate application. On an average, it took 20-23 minutes in solving this section as per majority of test takers.

The level of questions asked in the section varied from moderate to difficult. The section which covered the majority of IBPS PO 2016 were Data interpretation, miscellaneous questions. The section sprinkled across the topics, with inequality based questions being quite difficult to solve.

The DI questions were based on Pie Chart, Case lets and Line Graphs and were fairly average in terms of level of difficulty. The IBPS PO 2016 Cutoff of the Quantitative Section is expected to be 11. The questions in Logical Reasoning was of difficult level. However, there were questions from various topics such as Logical Syllogism, coding-decoding.

The other major topics that covered IBPS PO Reasoning Ability section were Data sufficiency, Seating arrangement, Simple & Complex puzzle and various questions from Miscellaneous. This section was rated as the most challenging one by most aspirants.

Computer Awareness is quite easy. Mostly questions asked from history of Computer and generations. Most candidates would have done this section in less than ten minutes. An excellent attempt is expected here.

Candidates who have been qualified IBPS PO 2016 Mains, they will be called for Interview to be directed by the Participating Organizations. The total marks allotted for interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).
Interviews will be conducted at select centers. The center, address of the venue, time & date of Interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter. Candidates are required to download their interview call letters in the month of January, 2017.
