This section consists of 6 sentence para jumble with 5 questions based on it. Analyze the theme of each para jumble and then try to restoring the paragraph in the right order. Look for connecting words like conjunctions that will help you link the story well.

The English section of the exam tests the candidate’s basic knowledge of grammar, vocabulary, reading, and verbal ability. Since the selected candidates would be placed as an officer in charge (of some financial /administrative aspect) it is expected from them to have a working knowledge of English language.
The syllabus of the exam just mentions the word English and Comprehension and do not specify what specifically is to be studied. In order to crack the English section of the exam, it is important to have a clear-cut demarcation of what to study and what not. Thus, candidates should have a list of important topics before starting preparations for the exam. As we discussed above that the English section tests the candidates for working knowledge in English language the questions too are not of very high level. The type of questions asked in the English are divided into four parts namely Reading and Comprehension, Vocabulary, verbal ability and basic grammar. The types of question asked under each heads are listed below.
The questions asked under this section are from topics like Tenses, adjective, preposition etc.
The vocabulary section would focus on areas like idioms, phrases, corrections etc.
This portion is pretty much similar to the vocabulary section. The difference is just that you are required to apply your cognitive skills to deduce a correct pattern or order out of random sequences.
Reading and Comprehension
As the name suggests the section tests the candidates for their reading and comprehending skills.
Practice is the key to master the English section for your IBPS PO exam.
