As one of the most sought after job profiles in the country, IBPS PO tests candidates analytical skills along with their ability to solve complex problems in minimal time. Candidates aspiring for IBPS PO 2016, are required to pay an equal amount of attention to each topic. Providing not just job security but it also ensures future growth prospect and flexible office timings. In Public Sector banks, the posts are divided into two, namely, the officer posts and clerical posts. PO (Probationary Officer) Post and (SP) Specialist Officer Posts comes under the officer level posts.
With the growing interest of Indian youth towards Public Sector Job oppurtunities, the exam is attempted by lakh of students, every year. The recent recruitment trends show that the position of Probationary Officer (PO), which is attained after achieving successful results in IBPS, is the one aspirants prefer the most. The job responsibility of a Bank PO involves looking after smooth operations of branch functioning, such as credit and debit, loan sanctions and forex.
For selection of these jobs, IBPS PO is conducted for the shortlisting to different posts. IBPS PO (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Probationary Officer exam) is an exam which is conducted for selection of Probationary Officer/Management Trainee in various participating public sector banks. The IBPS PO is a national level examination which is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel (IBPS). It a two tier entrance examination i.e. Preliminary Examination and Main Examination. IBPS PO Application Process is a one-time online process to apply for the examination.
Bank POs are recruited through a two stage written exam that is, the IBPS PO prelims examination and the IBPS PO mains examination followed by an interview round. IBPS PO Registration is a one-time online process to apply for the examination. Candidates are advised to download their IBPS Admit card (Pre-exam Training) before October 08, 2016. IBPS Preliminary Examination is scheduled to take place on three dates i.e. October 16th, October 22nd and October 23rd, 2016. The candidates who will clear Preliminary Examination stands eligible for giving IBPS PO- Main Examination.
IBPS preliminary examination comprises of 100 multiple choice questions in total. The time duration to complete the exam is 1 hour (60 minutes). The medium of examination for General English section is English, however, it is English and Hindi for the other sections.
