CTET 2018 Answer Key, Question Paper & Analysis

Central Teachers Eligibility Test is conducted by CBSE to recruit teachers in various institutes around the country. Candidates who qualify the test are eligible for recruitment in KVS/ NVS/ Tribal Schools. From 2018, CTET is declared to conduct online. CTET 2018 consist of two papers. Paper 1 is for applicants who wish to teach standard 1 to 5. Paper 2 is for candidates who wish to teach standards 6th to 8th.

  • Candidates who appear for the test will be issued marks statement.
  • Only the candidates securing above 60% will be issued eligibility certificate.
  • Qualifying CTET will not guarantee any recruitment for the candidates.
  • Candidates will have to apply for vacancies separately as per the institutional requirements.
  • School managements are liable to give concessions to candidates as per various vertical and horizontal categories.

CTET 2018 Paper 1 Pattern & Analysis

Candidates must check the previous year exam analysis so as to get an idea of the test:

Mathematics:

  • Most of the questions in this were easy but calculative. Approximately 24 questions were counted as good attempts.

English:

  • For the candidates who had opted English as language 1 had found the section difficult. In the test paper for English as language 2, the level of difficulty was comparatively lower.

Hindi:

  • The most difficult part of the paper was the passage. Rests of the questions were of moderate level.

Environmental Science:

  • This was the most scoring section. Most of the questions were based on NCERTs.

Child Development & Pedagogy:

  • Questions were usually based on elimination method and were of moderate to difficult level.

Paper 1 will be conducted for the duration of 2.5 hours (150 Minutes). Following is the pattern of CTET Paper 1:

  • Most of the questions were based on previous year paper trends.
  • Candidates could attempt 110-115 as good attempts.

How to Check CTET 2018 Answer key?

Candidates can follow the procedure stated below to download CTET 2018 Answer Key:

  1. Visit the official portal of CTET i.e. ctet.nic.in
  2. Click on the link for CTET 2018 Answer Key.
  3. Select the paper code and click on next tab.
  4. CTET 2018 answer key will be available on screen.
  5. Candidates can also take the print of the answer key.

CTET 2018 Result

  • CTET 2018 result will be published on the official website of CBSE.
  • Candidates will be issued statement of marks which they can get by logging into their account with the registration details.
  • Additionally, candidates scoring minimum 90 marks will be given eligibility certificate.

CTET 2018 Cut Off

  • As per the guidelines of National Council of Teacher Education, candidates who secure 60% or above marks in CTET will be given an eligibility certificate.
  • The certificate will be valid for next 7 years.
  • Candidates can appear for the test again in order to improve scores.
  • There is no limit to the number of attempts.
