NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE/OFFLINE TEST
The JE Entrance Test for Mechanical trade was successfully conducted on Feb 18, 2017. The DMRC 2017 exam for Junior Engineers was conducted for 20804 candidates in two shifts; morning and evening. The Result of the DMRC is expected to be out in May, 2017. Meanwhile candidates can refer to DMRC JE 2017 ME Answer Key to check their scores.
Delhi Metro recruits candidates through DMRC 2017 for Junior Engineers in various trades viz. Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical and Civil Engineering. DMRC JE exam for Mechanical comprises General Awareness, English, Logical Ability and Quant/Question from Mechanical Engineering syllabus. The difficulty level of DMRC 2017 JE Mechanical paper was moderate. Candidates found Logical Ability and GK questions surprisingly easy this time.

The exam conducted had a moderate difficulty level. The Exam Pattern of DMRC JE (Mechanical) hasn’t changed much over the years. The Exam was conducted in two paper, viz. Paper 1 and Paper 2. The Paper 1 concerned itself with the Non-Technical and Technical Sections while Paper 2 concerned itself with English only. Lets look at the section wise analysis of DMRC JE (Mechanical) 2017.
DMRC JE (Mechanical) Paper 1 Analysis:
The DMRC JE (Mechanical) Paper 1 comprised of General Aptitude & Technical Section with a total of 120 questions. The 120 questions were divided between the section in a ratio of 3:5. The Technical Section covered 75 questions in the section while the non technical section comprised 45 questions.
The questions in the technical section were of graduation level and candidates thorough understanding of their branch would surely excel at the section.
The Non-technical section aimed at testing candidates’ general and logical aptitude with questions from Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning. The major part of Non Technical section was ruled by Quantitative Aptitude. Candidates who were well acquainted with numbers are expected to ace the section.
DMRC JE Mechanical (ME) Paper 2 Analysis
The Paper 2 of DMRC JE Mechanical (ME) 2017 focussed on General Awareness about English. The total questions in the section were 60 and candidates had to solve the section in 45 minutes. The level of the section was moderate with minor changes.
The questions in the section came from topics such as vocabulary, synonyms, antonyms, spelling errors, idioms & phrases, sentence completion and one word substitution. The main aim of the section was to test how candidates were acquainted with English as a language.
